To the folks saying "top performer, I guess performance doesn't matter", you have missed the point. The fact that you were a top performer means you were making money. Only the top of the Ponzi scheme known as Dell are allowed to make money. Pay 2 COO's but fire revenue generating sales reps. Brilliant move.
I've only been employed at Dell EMC for close to nine months located in Texas. Layoffs imminent....it'll be a relief to me. Just waitin' on my notification - then straight to the employment agency to explore retraining opportunities. It was a progression of decisions that lead me here, it'll me more decisions to make things better career-wise. Just processing things.
I just need my manager to pick me if there is a decent severance package.
The calls will be a mix of congratulations for making the cut and loading you with additional work from the rest of team.
Congrats we just made a bad job worse. Enjoy he added work, I will take the call and get my package.
I did hear if you off a 20% pay cut and drop benefits you can work a deal
axe man sent out an email this morning.
I’m hearing rumors that the new span of control is either 12:1 or 14:1. Most of our competition in the field hires another manager after 8:1. This will not be good for the managers who are fired, the managers who stay, or all the ICs who will suffer from this. To me, this is a sign to run.
I am so sorry. Are you in ISG sales management? I have heard managers and directors are being hit HARD in that org.
141% average quota attainment since joining leadership 5.5 years ago. Got the invite today. Clearly performance was not a factor in my case
My one on one was moved from Wednesday to Tuesday pretty sure I'm on the list as well. Good luck!
Best of luck to everyone impacted. That sh-t sucks.
another with a random 1:1 invite with my 2nd line manager. Oh well.
Yeah, it's weird, I'm a top performance manager with a top performing team, but will be sacked tomorrow.
Based on my random 1:1 invite, sadly agree.
