"But sadly, that ship has long sailed."

More like that ship has taken on too much BS and and now can't avoid sinking!

Even airlines that have always been 100% Boeing are now shifting to Airbus.

Beyond me why anyone cares about union contracts anymore... You should now be solely focused on finding you next job...

@1gkp+1o0hcpr2 you are so right. They will offer another cr-ppy contract with a bunch of takeaways.

But, they will offer a very small contract signing bonus and the ignorant membership will lap it up and go buy x-boxes for their mom's basement.

The union leadership may su-k and don't have the member's backs, but the membership isn't that bright either.

Yes, stock price remains King at Boeing. The three Davids...David Solomon, David Jackson, David Gardner...and Jim Cramer have been guests at Boeing's DC headquarters. Wish Boeing would have spent more time, energy and money on retaining and promoting their best engineers and managers than on wining and dining these stock maggots. But sadly, that ship has long sailed.

Please don't feel like the company's inability to manage should result in taking a contract offer with any take-aways. I bet they (along with union leaders that really don't have our backs) will try again to sneak another lousy offer by during the holidays.

It’s amazing to me that they talk about cost cutting on the manufacturing side, but no one talks about reducing the six layers of management over every single employee. Or the absurd amount of money paid to the chief executive officer when they have been losing money every quarter since 737 max crash.

Surprised there hasn't been another 737Max accident by now. Or 787 accident. If you work here you know quality and safety is low on the Boeing priority totem pole. Top on the totem pole is stock price and executive wealth generation.

But Boeing's biggest problem and money losing quagmire is their huge airplane order backlog wherein they are obligated to manufacture and deliver them at huge profit loss because they were sold with unrealistic expectations of reduced manufacturing costs. In reality, their manufacturing costs have greatly increased because their expectations were not met and because of the now higher level of FAA scrutiny which keeps finding issues with their failed engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
