Last month most of the LED teams were surplused. In the same week a new organization was formed that basically took over for the former LED TEAMS. The people who were moved to this role were not given a choice and also took pay cuts. How is all this legal ??

I thought the light emitting diode team was extinct a long time ago, it’s a commodity now.
Hate when people just throw acronyms around like everyone knows whom or what org they are talking about.
Last core contract negotiations in the SE the company was surprised by the labor strike with nearly 100% participants. They quickly shuffled their labor relations team and stopped all the nonsense, contract was voted on and signed not too long afterwards.
If they are union jobs, I would bet it’s listed somewhere in your union contract! The contract has already been “voted on” before it gets voted on, if you catch my drift ;))) This union goes by the same transparency model that your Executive and Federal administrations do…poopy cawkaw!
It’s all about the stockholders and greed these days, which leaves no room for us minions….nothing to look at here? look how great the economies doing? “experts” agree? Poll numbers show? If it wasn’t for us? It’s a win-win for everybody?
If union group then file a grievance, company can’t surplus then turn right around and reconstitute the group without follow the contract. They don’t always follow the contracts despite what some will say about HR, lawyers, etc..
yep, same thing here. Just shuffled around to do another role, no regards to qualifications and skills. Hard to gain momentum when you are shuffled each time a bad decision is made. Sure, embrace the change, but if its a change for the better of the company being innovative etc...gladly, but this change is due to bad decisions. How embarrassing that they cannot keep their internal affairs in order, always shifting, lay off here and there. Nuff rant... I am looking for another job.
You don’t have to take the new job. Most states allow you to resign…
It isn’t, file a grievance at your local
It’s happening for mgmt employees too — there were those layed off and there will be backfills. Execs make the decision.
If you're management, you're employed at will.
If your bargained-for, call your rep.
