Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What more can be said?

It's hopeless, this company has been forever ruined by the tag team of Stankey and Stephenson. Employees are being forced to make a decision to stay with at&t and relocate, or be forced off payroll. Many employees feel they deserve better and can't bear to face their own reality. Many think they are above the law and the company could never go on without them.

The true goal is to have sufficient cash flow to pay C-suite their millions for a few more years, raise stock price so options can be cashed in, and sell stock for as much as possible.

Meanwhile, our 401k T match takes a hit every time C dumps their stock.

Wait. Once they have cut you loose, it gets better each say. You will sleep like a baby.

“The word force should not be used. No physical or se-ual abuse is happening. Employment terms are changing and employees have the opportunity to make a choice.”

Yea they are “forced” into making a tough decision.
RTO was created on the fly to force people into retirement

Complaining about Stankey never gets old. Recycle, reuse, repeat.

“What more can be said?” Obviously nothing because you’re just regurgitating the same old stuff.

Opportunity? Opportunities are choices my friend. You are delusional.

Some people are above the law. It all depends how badly they want to keep you. I see exceptions being made on case by case basis. Some in non-hub cities are forced out if they don’t want to move, others are given TW and allowed to stay.

What are you even trying to say? You've got 2, 3, maybe 4 different messages going on here and this sentence makes no sense at all. Try again.

What are you seeing where people are acting like they're above the law?

"Many think they are above the law and the company could never go on without them."

Well, Employment terms may have changed, so this employee and many others I can assure you have decided to make a choice and change our relationship with our employer. I've seen slackers and I've seen go getters. Neither have been immune to layoffs due to our failed "leadership's" decisions.

The word “force” is totally appropriate. That poster sounds like a VP who has had a bit too much koolaid to drink.

Wait until it happens to you, then see if you feel forced, or as--ulted or whatever you feel is an appropriate emotion for you.

What’s sad is how the backfills will be based on VPs who are liked or sell a good story. Especially ones with small orgs are afraid to not get backfill bc maybe their level isn’t needed & more high level reductions can/should happen.
I hear L3s were hit hard and we know lower than that was too but still lots of L4s & is anyone asking what f we need all these L5 VPs — especially the ones that are horrible leaders
ACE replacements will be based on sell job from VPs to SVP with some going right to EVP.
Backfills all political.
