SLIENT STRIKE!
STRIKE!
Strike didn’t happen as my team members chickened out.
A few of us are cutting back a huge percentage of time but of course still putting 8 - 12 hours on our time sheets. No one checks the hours :) Last week I maybe worked 5 total hours , along with sitting in meeting of more than 8 people and nothing is ever decided on.
Lets cut out the B.S only people getting rises $$ - is Mikey no 2, Mary and the upper toffee nose management / Board.
No one else will get zip - apart from WFR and do what we've been doing in the UK since DXC was formed - work to standard hours, offload as much to off shore team(s) and to your colleagues; don't do anything up and beyond your contract - you just get taken as a mug, managers will off load stuff on to you - to force you to quit / breakdown - may be lucky and get a WFR.
Simply work to rule - standard hours; collect $$, pay off debts / credit cards / mortgage, build up pensions and don't do any more not worth it.
Having been at CSC / DXC haven't had a pay rise ( meaningful) since 2006 - can't be bother to do anything and beyond whats detailed on my base contract. Heard and witness multiple occasions where managers even had cheek of threatening UK/US staff with redundancy if I didn't train cheaper offshore personnel to do jobs that were being WFR from UK/ US
Let’s do this to show we will not be beaten down no more. No merit increases for people who at least meet most of their goals , then no work!
Others in platform support , storage capability are with me! Join in and we strike after the earnings call today!
Many people in DXC have been "quiet quitting" for years.
There are those who will say that these people are wasters and dragging the company down. They are wrong. The Quiet Quitters in DXC are people who've been beaten down by the company's appalling management over the last ten years, but for some reason don't think that they can leave.
DXC is many things, most of them bad. But it is not a prison. You can leave any time you want to. If you want to go on being demotivated, demoralised, underdeveloped, underpaid, and ultimately laid-off, stay there. If you want to build a career, learn new things, get more money, and have a more satisfying job, leave and go elsewhere. Having DXC on your CV is not a barrier to getting a better role somewhere else - I know this 'cause it's what I did a few years ago.
Why stay for more of the same, when you can get out and go somewhere decent?
