@1bhz AES had a HUGE presence at RE+ last year. I'd say a irresponsibly huge presence.

Coming on a year since last years layoffs. Article this week speculating the blackrock/GIP acquisition with EQT. January 2026 saw the highest number of planned layoffs since 2009. What have people heard? What is the feeling in your departments? More layoffs?

I’m truly praying for the undesirable as he continues to meltdown over anything AES. The holidays must be tough for him. I will say a prayer for him during these obvious tough times. I hope 2026 is a better year for him.

AES has become nothing more than a cheap strung out street ho---r looking for a buyer now that GIP is out ...... better lower that stock price to around $0.92 per share

EDF is up for sale and Blackrock is chasing the deal. AES is in the rear view mirror. Prepare for the stock to drop in a huge swan dive.

Good morning. It would seem to all of us here at Apollo that if AES isn't acquired soon that bankruptcy is a sure thing. We look forward to acquiring their assets for pennies on the dollar in Chapter 7 and are equally interested in the assets of Pine Gate. Let's also remember all of the layoffs throughout the industry with another 900 jobs lost at Vestas yesterday and over 1,000 furloughed at QCells only a few days ago. It is clear that with the Section 232 tariff on polysilicon about to be enacted that the renewables industry is headed for a cliff with many companies heading for bankruptcy. AES is undoubtedly one of them. With a current ratio less than 1.0, a debt-to-equity ratio of nearly 5.0, a total debt load of more than $30B on gross revenues of only $12B and a credit rating of BBB-, which is one tick above junk, AES is without a doubt heading for bankruptcy. Any firms considering acquiring them would be wise to step back and let the stock price fall and their credit rating be revised to BB+ the highest rating for junk. At that point we are confident due to interest carry alone they will be forced into a Chapter 7 filing and the assets will be sold for pennies on the dollar regardless of who the stalking horse bidder is. Good luck children. Enjoy playing in the sandbox today.

Here is to a great 2026 for AES.

Looks like Blackrock/GIP is out looking at Pine Gate/Blue Ridge 10GWdc now bankrupt portfolio and AES has been thrown to the curb. Look for the stock to crater to $5 a share or less. The real question is how much longer before AES is bankrupt. Now you can keep fighting with each other.

If you need it all capitalized to know what it is, then I’m not sure what to say.

AES continues with a STRONG portfolio.

Big Bonuses this spring after getting rid of all the undesirables

Note to Andres.....leaking news about a pending acquisition to get a higher price is not only illegal, but will actually lead to a lower offer as you will find out soon enough....GIP is not going to pay more than the enterprise value for the business, which is functionally bankrupt.....sure you can limp along for many years, but your ability to borrow has been significantly compromised by your debt-to-equity ratio along with your current ratio both of which are screaming bankruptcy.....way to mismanage what was once a thriving business.....let's all hope the actuarial tables catch up with you before this pile of cow dung sells to GIP

GIP should wait for AES to declare bankruptcy before buying at pennies on the dollar. It’ll only take a few more months

Don't worry AES with your reputation for disorganization and failure there are lots of firms hiring that need your skill sets like Orsted, RWE and Blue Ridge Power. Send your resume there and you will be just fine. Jobs a plenty. If that fails I heard Uber and Door Dash are looking for drivers too. Happy Holidays.

Everyone is wrong, GIP is going to hire so many employees and we are going to all live happily ever after especially those of us in Arlington. We are all so fantastic and we have those other really amazing people in Louisville. They will never get rid of any of us. We are so fantastic. We are the best. Hey wait a minute my phone is ringing. Um, sorry, I just got laid off. Better start sending out my resume.

Time for a meaningless canned fake and fraudulent KennyZ leadership email. Can you imagine, we have a guy who knows nothing about leadership, is basically a hang around at a club, regurgitated and recirculated around like sc-m circling a sewage drain and has done nothing for a decade and this nincumpoop is sending out canned leadership emails that he gets from a book written in 1875. What a failed company, failed leadership team and failed business investing in a failed technology, renewables.

I’m in natural gas for AES and there is no question the reason for our suffering is a direct result of the Louisville office and their fake renewable no making money no margin business ventures. It was the worst thing to happen to this company in its 45-year history. Renewables is 100% to blame for this catastrophe and I hold them wholly responsible.

The bearer of bad news from a Wall Street Analyst. Total Debt is $30B. Total Assets if $50B. If GIP pays $38B, they pay down $30B in debt, then we have $8B remaining. In other words, they pay $0.16 per $1.00. NEXTEra boy is right with his pennies on the dollar prediction and all it took was some high school math. Sounds like AES is bankrupt and your COO might have missed the math class in high school as well. Was he drinking or on dr-gs? Just curious. Now you can all fight with each other in the comments section. From a Wall Street Analyst.

Sounds like someone is jealous. To the AES folk better clean up that resume. If you need help you can reach out to your former COO with a high school diploma. He is desperate for money and can no longer afford to live in a house. Speaks volumes about the incompetence and incompetent people at AES.

@1e5n why are you so passionate about spreading fake rumors? It’s clear you no longer work for AES, so why do you care so much? It seems like you are purely acting out of grudges and resentment. Go live your life

In reply to your comment below. Don't forget they also had a guy with only a high school diploma working as the COO of the entire US SBU. Wow, now if that is not incompetence, I don't know what is MarkdumbMiller.

You can thank the clowns in Louisville, CO for layering on so much debt that it was impossible to dig out of the massive $30B hole they created. Have you looked at the leader of wind who looks like the unibomber with that unkept lump of curly unwashed mop on his head. How can you have a person known as Woody leading the group and actually take them seriously. How about re-hiring someone as the Director of Pre-Construction that was fired from the EPC they went to after only 6 months because of incompetence and you are surprised? Those are the people that brought this company to its knees. Make sure to send them a Christmas Card. AES will be gone by year end and your resume will be tainted for life like working at Enron.

@1e5n there is absolutely no confirmation that BlackRock is acquiring AES. Everything that’s happened on the market is pure speculation. Talks are still happening and could fall through at any moment. Stop fear mongering.

Confirmed: BlackRock is acquiring AES, and a major reorganization will follow. Because severance plans don’t apply in acquisitions, layoffs will be far less costly for the new company. Any workforce reductions connected to the reorganization or acquisition will not fall under the current severance policy. It’s essentially finalized.

This means significant money flows to Venezuela and Argentina mafias. On the positive side, it appears AES Services may soon disappear—a hub of corruption, unethical practices, and toxic culture.

Jealousy will get you no where, and neither will a resume with the letters "AES". Sorry Charlie, everyone in the industry knows that AES is a disaster. And the industry also knows about this board. Its a wonder how we are all aware of AES the disaster and this board? Hmmmmmmmmmmm
