It gives you an idea of what companies are paying the top-notch employee's in this industry. If you are young enough and want to retrain for a different position, many of these articles could give us some ideas. Of course you have to be willing to take out loans to retrain and this is not possible for many of us.
State Street will only have %15 of employee in US. For those 15% of employee in US, less than 40% are US citizens. This means overall less than 6% of the State Street employee are US citizen. So State Street is rather a foreign company making money in US.

Sorry at least 75% of the U.S staff is H1-B workers who been here for years.
15% are highly overpaid Senior VP, Executive VP and so on

I definitely don't agree with the premise of this thread. We are going to have so many businesses that will never reopen and unemployment is going to be the highest in years. I am predicting it will be very difficult for anyone who losses or lost their job to find another position. It will probably take quite a while for the unemployed to find another position.
And for those still onboard will be better off how?

If your near retirment then yes it is great, with your severance and unemployment you can easily stretch the money to last 2 years if your carefully.
Then take early social security at 62, get a part time job
Trust the Old Clipper ship's executive management to f this up one more time.
The business does not work. Low interest rate combined with falling equity markets and a trend to repatriation of jobs back to US shores will finally be the end of this sad story.
Stay strong my friends. The end is near and those still on board will be better off for it.
