Management is working on ranking and justifications, and some "important" group such as architecture (why this event exist in AT&T, do they build anything ??) may see large cut.

Ah! that person is one of the main contributor to the demise of the mighty DTV. That person will ruin any companies he/she works for. Just put that person name on the Internet, on any msg board, Yahoo/Google, whatever, that person's "reputation" would show up on Google/Bing search with the whole story of destruction of DTV. HR personels at any companies attempt to hire would do a search and would find out.
half of the architecture team can be let go. Wipro cons would be great first step. MM, VA clueless only look out for themselves and what makes them look good. Both can be let go with zero negative impact. Incompetence is rampant in that area of the organization.
