A long tail to this but the only way to fight is to get state legislators to enact laws indicating that claims adjusters must be domiciled with licensed in the US

Any jobs involving the handling of claims will be eliminated and handled by Pune with Managers overseeing that they are handled in compliance with regs this means no more adjusters, appraisers, FNOL or subro people will remain
Yep. A lot of claims front line roles to vendors and licensed and adjusting roles to Pune where they are already and being licensed as we speak.
Keep in mind that 90% of customers do not have a claim in a given year. Therefore, PRICE is critical, and cost-cutting will continue. For those customers hat have claims, most surveys are in the neutral or favorable category. Other than timeliness (which is an issue), most dissatisfied customers are unduly influenced by their body shops, friends, neighbors, or others on what they are owed.
Customer service results show that the reps in India are not exactly up to snuff. That said, I suspect the executive decision will be focused more on the cost savings than the customer so we are likely toast.
Plenty of carriers out there that will never go that route AND they are paying much better than this place. #USAA. I am starting there in 1 week and received a 20% higher salary…. Come on over!

Wake up and smell the curry powder. Allstate India has wonderful people who are ready, smart, and well spoken in English just waiting to take over. It’s been in the works for years. They’ve been examining medical records and total losses for years now. They are ready to handle All of claims. LDU. Casualty. liT. EVERYTHING There are hundreds of thousands of people there and many of them are highly educated and have been waiting for the promises of Allstate India to be fulfilled. Bye bye American style Allstate. You are gone.

I have no idea if true or not (certainly sounds plausible), but as far as Claims handling out of Pune, I’d think those would be roles involving comp claims or parking lot accidents with no injures- Would be very surprised if it involved additional levels of complexity, up to and including Lit)…
