Thread regarding Discover Financial Services layoffs

I was hired as an on-site employee. I got joining bonus of about 10 grand which included relocation disguised as joining bonus.

I’m on vacation for few weeks now.

I was hired as a Chicago on-site employee. I got joining bonus of about 10 grand which included relocation disguised as joining bonus.
I did not relocate and stayed east coast . The tactic I used was to show little or no involvement in any work that I was given or assigned. I took months to make a single line of code change.
Eventually, I was able to dodge my manager and he bowed down to me agreeing that I could work remotely.
I don’t disagree that it’s easy to bully your Discover managers.

@1ejc+1v7eCgYw - Managers who hired stupid people like the OP should be blamed.

This is so cringe.

How can someone intentionally don't work and wait for 2 months to write a single line of code

If managers had to bully you, they can keep in first list of Layoffs who knows

WTF is wrong with people who expect to be paid and do nothing...layoffs need to happen to clear these people out. Proud of yourself?
