Welp, I guess this is it. I got an invite for a meeting tomorrow that’s slotted for 15 minutes and honestly the email is vague. Hopefully I get my release papers from this jail. 9 years wasted……….

1ehr+1u0E1Nc3- prestige? Lol!!!!
Just because this company is a monopoly and large does not mean it is great and everyone looks up to it! I certainly don’t and I work here for the time being.
This company is a failure to all (employees/patients) and is only profitable to the upper brass.
I hope UHG/UHC/Optumfail! They are one of the reasons we pay so much for healthcare…. Due to their monopoly of the market.
When I look for jobs, I make sure that company does not offer Optum/UHC… if they do, that is a deal breaker for me.
What's the early retirement and what age is this offered to you? And how different than the standard package?
Was just informed by someone who was let go back in April that some of our IT colleagues have been given the option for early retirement. I expect to hear more tomorrow morning I guess.
@1ehr+1u0E1Nc3 : Prestige? Are you kidding me? What a joke. I guess we at least say that we survived this Kra**y company for X number of years.
Is home health navihealth?
Home health?
@1ehr+1u0E1Nc3 Nice speech buddy but your premise that this company has prestige is disingenuous at best, are you an HR troll?? When I started here 15yrs ago the headhunter warned me that they had a bad reputation and a very high turnover rate. I think we can all agree why this place deserves that reputation, however he didn’t warn me about the cronyism and the sh---y raises and health benefits. Ironically the WORST healthcare options I had in a 40yr career! This company in many ways is just evil!!
@OP+1u0E1Nc3
It su-ks, but your time was absolutely NOT wasted, unless you allow it to be. You have 9 years and probably multiple promotions in what other orgs view as one of the most prestigious healthcare orgs in the US.
Now, you and I know that it's a mismanaged dumpster fire that has been sliding towards the edge for ~10 years at this point, but it's important to understand that hiring managers in other orgs, (Mayo, BCBS, Humana, etc) largely view Optum/UHG as the Big Leagues, like coming from Apple or (lol) Google.
If you want to stay in the healthcare field, polish up that resume, lean into that level of "prestiege" and be proud of your time here. It shouldn't work, but it does.
Home health got invites sent to them too. Not gonna be pretty.
What department do you work in?
Sorry to break it to you. They do not do it that way. You need to read "The Art of War"
