Most at Cisco are in denial as to their market worth and yet still full of hubris and self importance because of the BS they peddle internally at Cisco. Most Cisco skills are worthless in the open market and you'd be lucky to be on 50% of what you make at Cisco. That's why LR cycles spark such panic at Cisco, most people are useless and worthless. You might have to look for a real job and have real skills and not the politicking, brown nosing and PPT BS you do at Cisco. What Cisco does is not strategic, no matter how many times you tell yourself otherwise. No one gives a fu-k about routing and switching and wireless and Cisco's credibility in security and UC is almost zero. Sure, some of the functions that the over-priced, poor quality sh-t Cisco makes is needed to some extent for packet shift but competitors can do it at half the price without all the BS.. If "solutions" like SDA, ACI, Spaces, Observability and Smart Buildings were really so incredibly transformative, why aren't so many more doing it? I'll tell you why, it's complete BS, fixing problems that are wildly exaggerated, don't exist and customers are wising up. The down-voters to this comment - you keep believing your own greatness if it makes you feel good about yourself but you better believe a day of reckoning is coming.

Knock 15% off each of those numbers and it will be more accurate. There's going to be a lot of egos broken along with long term non performers and slackers getting woke up or finally let go.

...Up to 40% of collab, 25% of sales...

For a company that needs resellers for all but the biggest accounts it has no ability to deal with anything that truly touches end users so there may be a case for both here.

...50% of security...

Clearly the world has no need for this anymore. Oh wait...

...20% of data center...

The 2.5Gb/s and 5Gb/s Ethernet for aggregating clients has been standardized for nearly 10 years and only the 2.5Gb/s version is just starting to get some traction. In a world of clients and servers the AI bo-m is going to be driving far more growth on the server side.

So besides a minority share of the enterprise Wi-Fi market what do you think Cisco will be doing?

If there is an LR coming (I don’t think there is) then none of the dip 💩 on this board will know about it. Anybody in the know (very few) will be bound to NDAs and they’ll say zip.

There will be continued small LRs. CFO has said publicly that he intends to grow profit faster than revenue. And the obvious interpretation is that, since labor is the largest cost to every company, the labor pool must be reduced. How much is anyone's guess.

if there's a big LR, it's likely in preparation for an acquisition.

Not true. Life is good with Cisco now. Numbers are good. Stock is up. Whoever is not with Cisco now is not enjoying the ride.

Yes, watch in Feb 2026 earnings call the LR will get announced, and directors, senior managers & even some long seniority managers will get caught up in this layoff announcement. So, go ahead and ignore this, spend lavishly & pretend your Cisco salary actually matches your real worth in the open market. I can’t wait to see your confidence implode when you see how unemployable you are against folks working for actual tech leading companies. It’s going to be a sla-ghterhouse for those lost in Cisco ELT pipe dream in February 2026. And even way worse for those how are unfortunate to be H1B status. No US company wants to hire any H1Bs right now, just try to find one that will not ask you if you require H1B support before they hire you…

This is bull. The big layoff will occur 4th quarter 2026 after the AI bubble burst in 3rd quarter. Mark your calendar!

@ay I love how you all just assume CR is going to announce sh-t like this. Every FY there is a line item in the earnings report for "restructuring" that the cost of the expected l/r. That is all Cisco needs to do to tell the street we are continuing l/r's. If the earnings is BAD then they will actually make an announcement to help save the stock price...

It wouldn’t surprise me if layoffs are coming but G2 would not be announcing it on an all hands call, this is something CR would announce on the earnings call in February
