Terrible to their employees!!! Extremely disappointing management. No wonder the company is in such dire financial distress.

we're up to a whopping $3.47 this AM. pressure mounting for Mgmt to have a better plan. reducing overhead and OpEx is part of that, along with shedding a brand or two. we'll see if board gives leadership time to implement that instead of sweeping them and starting over.

They are starting to say the quiet part out loud. More cuts on the horizon, bulk round in 2026 Q1, and little shots here and there in between. Not stable. Too much external pressure for change. Patience running thin from key shareholder groups.

"Additionally, management is targeting a reduction in overhead as a percentage of sales, beginning in the third quarter, after years of reinvestment in brand management, consumer insights and ERP harmonization. These actions should further improve operating leverage as sales stabilize." https://finance.yahoo.com/news/newells-cost-saving-drive-sustain-155400738.html

Caliber of people leaving - McDermott - is high. Replaced with underperforming Huet on ego trip. Home Division is on a quick route to fire sale, with several of those brands up on chopping block behind the scenes.

Huet got a hand slap for underperformance and bad leadership. To save face they gave her co-ceo. More change coming. P&G announcing 7,000 layoff will probably be a cue to the c-suite that shareholders will expect some serious change performance which Newell can’t and won’t be able to deliver.

Newell did NOT follow proper procedure for the WARN act in how its shutting down Kalamazoo Design and is subverting the process to avoid bad press. Some employees should step up to the plate with employement attorneys.

Rolling targeted layoffs in trade marketing and brand marketing.

Kalamazoo Design Center shutting down. Most laid off by end of year. Doing it in waves to save face and avoid WARN Act. Minimal relos. One more Huet failure. She has to be next.

Layoffs continuing in small pockets, to avoid “panic.” K-zoo, watch out.

I know of two people who got laid off today in Atlanta from Newell brands. Their positions were eliminated.

Agreed. Mgmt is putting lipstick on a pig, and the numbers aren't adding up. cuts have to happen to support the new brand activations. more with less. plus it's January so they have to do layoffs. it's a tradition at this point.

It's unfortunate - but highly likely. I would expect another layer of reorg and new structure, and another round of cuts across the board, probably most focused in Huet's org.
