Looking at the 4Q results and current price of commodity prices, do you anticipate Oxy might be force to do layoffs this 2026?

@21v Did they actually announce the diverstiture? I thought they were still trying to stay on the DL to keep people from jumping ship. 16k well in EOR sold to Hilcorp and the people go with it. Hilcorp doesn't seem to have a good record of keeping people. Look what happened to those at Apache.
@1dp It's done. 16k wells to Hilcorp. People go too.
@20e Divestiture was signed about a week ago. 16000 wells going to Hilcorp. People are going with them, though that doesn't mean they will keep their jobs.
What meeting yesterday?
Definitely, people here is unaware of what was announced yesterday.
Oxy treats their retirees well. It is a top shelf company.
I took the one in December and Oxy did us right for sure. I am late 60’s and the VSP worked out for me perfect. I miss my co-workers and Oxy in general. As well I miss the work, but retiring was coming sooner than later, and the VSP made the choice so much easier. I am so grateful for Oxy and their treatment of me as an employee and now a retiree. It is a individual thing for each employee but I am not looking back, and thanks again Oxy. Best wishes to you all.
@1w0 - what is official? More VSP or another divestiture? I have not seen any news of a divestiture so I assume a VSP? If so, I wish each eligible participant the best. The one in November/December was better than most I have seen outside of OXY, so I hope any new one matches or exceeds what was offered in Q4 of 2025.
@1dp it’s official y’all.
Rumor is that there will be another divestiture next month.
Maybe another round of name your price.
Nah, more VSP tho
Yes. High oil prices observed this week won’t last long.
