Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

It's OK everyone, Starbucks will provide the needed caffeine for you to do your job

and those of who got whacked.

Now if 2nd rate coffee doesn't make you feel wanted, nothing will.

@1dke+1bhn2Yj3 - even TR is simplifying their manila folder sourcing. They have switched from Snead to Amazon Essentials for this vital office supply item.

One of the points mentioned when explaining severance was that we should inform them once we find another job so they can stop the severance payout. What happens if we don’t inform them once we find another job?

The only people who do well are the ones who sell TR the folders they put the layoff information in.

@1ren+1bhn2Yj3 -

For US employees - 2 weeks for every year of service with 12 weeks the minimum and a cap at 52. Now you must tell them when you find a new job. They decide if that is comparable - of course they will - so they can terminate your severance payments early when you find a job with someone else.

Anyone know what the latest severance package is? I heard it’s no longer 2 weeks for every year of service.
