I am not the type of person who can stay silent and not express his opinion on things that matter to me. I no longer want to work for a company where I have to be very careful about raising my concerns. How to raise a problem at work when everyone already knows that TD expects silence from their employees?

@1okk+1gnVGBmR i think it's all about how the leaders competency is measured.
If you use the metric of the cash flow they generate for themselves wouldn't you agree that's very hard to say they're incompetent?
Then you'd have to go one level up, in the board of directors and ask the same question: how successful the directors were at keeping their seat over the years while choosing the managers they selected?
@2wym+1gnVGBmR You are welcome to your beliefs but they don't belong at the office, especially when you try to cram them down other people's throats. I come to the office to make customers happy and earn money, not to be told what I need to do to become someone else's idea of what a better human being should be. If I want that I can go to church.
DS nor HA listen to employees these days. HA is silently taking a backseat, DS doesn’t hold grudges they say, but in reality, it is anything but that.

@1dbp+1gnVGBmR in a sense you are right. Woke is not a out one company or another in particular. But it's about slowly destroying the civilization at large. It's a nihilistic ideology of people who want to feel good about themselves without really having accomplished much, by hunting mistakes in those who did.
The OP is correct.
In general, how engineering works at Teradata:
- TD hires industry experts to fix their "technical debt".
- TD refuses to accept experts' recommendations or timetables if it is not what they want to hear.
- TD ignores the better recommendations and chooses to do it the "Teradata Way" (Translation: never stop to analyze WHY things went wrong-- just mash the gas pedal down harder).
- Things explode, and the engineers/experts also get scapegoated for the failure.
- The executives who made the decisions that led to the failure, get promoted and receive bonuses.
Rinse, repeat. And they NEVER learn. It's always "my way or the highway".
Don't think that has anything to do with "right" or "left" for the two people bickering on here. INCOMPETENT LEADERSHIP is not something isolated to any single demographic or group or party.
What is more concerning is when ANY "business transformation" is used as a diversion from the real problems brewing in the background.
