FYI.
All over the web, I see the news today that Oracle has begun what is reported to be a layoff in the thousands, the majority of which will be in the US. The reports are that they have targeted a $1B savings to come out of these layoffs which is reported to be in the 8 -10% of total workforce impacted.
When I look at their stock it is no where near as bad as SAP. Oracle is down YTD about 11% while SAP is down 3 times as much or 33% YTD. So what is to be expected here at SAP ?
Other Tech companies are also cutting back, so the overall industry is getting hit.
It is a bit too quiet at SAP that makes me a nervous about what may be coming.
