Quitting for another job is one thing. Quitting and sitting at home is just stupid.
The fact that the usual trolls are still ba----g this drum (a.k.a. "leave on your own so we don't have to pay you severance") makes me think the layoffs are getting pushed out past early January.
Only part that's true is opportunity cost. Every day you aren't looking is a day that you may have missed a job you would have been a perfect fit for.
It’s laughable to think staying at Citrix during this transition will have much, if any, impact on whether another company will hire you. Makes you wonder what world these trolls live in.

The idea that a company won't hire you because Citrix is on your resume is not just 100% false, it's an insult to anyone semi-intelligent or better.
You have a paycheck now, but who will hire you when you are terminated? Anyone who thinks that staying and waiting at CSG is sensible must be delusional. It's a bad situation.
Update your CV and make a plan to leave on your own terms. Don't be afraid to change. Don't let them just cast you aside when they're done with you. Have some self-respect.
