The CDW performance review system is antiquated busy work for sure, but I've seen worse. The last two companies I worked for prior to CDW didn't have formal systems and it was great - it cut down on useless busy work and red tape. I actually thought most companies were trending in that direction. Anyway, yeah, I just take whatever the default goals are and maybe modify them a bit.
The company before those two, however, was even more ridiculous and worthless than CDW's system - we had goals. We had nine boxers. We had to "journal" regularly in the HR system.
As big as this company is CDW, you would think they would give Christmas bonuses, and their performance reviews su-k it’s goals that are not worth my time to complete for a measly raise so not doing that cr-p, and sick of working as a dual company, CEO Chris Leahy NEEDS TO GO

True - and the blame for CDW’s layoff woes isn’t on SIrius, it’s on CDW Leadership for paying $2.5B for the ill-timed acquisition along with poor integration planning and execution. Along with that the tools/systems/platform integration takes a long time and can be painful and disruptive. 2023-24 was a bad time to be absorbing a new 2500 employee shop along with all of the integration disruptions that go along with it. The poor timing, planning, etc. of the acquisition has bit CDW leadership in the a-s.
3rd, 4th lay off within the year? I lost track. It’s not the cdw culture i used to know. In fact, it was a known thing that it’s hard to lose your account manager role at cdw. Not its one after the other. The focus should be the CEO and question multiple layoffs within a year under her wing…

I’m sorry, did you have a stroke? I can assure you Eccles is not any of those things, but the execs will let him ride out this sad little ride as they do any one who can garner an executive title.

I’m a newer seller and although I was not let go I’m going to jump ship before the big one in April. Haven’t enjoyed any aspect of working here so far and can get paid more other places, you’re always told to wait til year 2 or 3 for the big payoff and I just don’t see it happening at this point.
CDW used to be a great place to work. I was there for 9 years and was laid off this year. Doesn’t seem like there doing anything different over there. Sad, but take it as a blessing in disguise

I knew they were preparing this weeks ago cuz one of the VPs in security who was talking about it and I overheard it. I was afraid to tell or post here but I started applying other places. He was talking on the phone about how he had his team looking up people's records to see if any on the list were a risky person. That is good I guess. He said he wishes he knew how f##### up CDW was before coming 2 years ago. He was like, they didnt let us carry g-ns to work a year ago to protect himself and our coworkers even though he use to be a buereau police guy. WTF! So are we safe if security cannot do their job the way they want???????? Layoffs can cause problems!! I am safe from losing my job and did not get the bad news email but I am still scared. I had a terminated employee come back and scare people at my other company so I hope they are thinking about how to stop that. This is not our old CDW and I am pi---d & sad about that.
I was one of the ones let go. Heard of 2 managers and that is it so far. I cut off the script they like to read because really who cares you'll still get a bonus and all of the sh-t managers and leaders get.

Re Eccles role: supposedly off taking care of a serious family issue. But seems like 'rest and vest'. Bob Kirby, who replaced him, is a bozo. Eccles had a grand plan to spin out DV and regain it's edge as a services organization that can actually execute. The board shot him down, he took sabbatical, and Bob took over. And DV has been adrift.
