How did Intel decide whom to lay off?

What criteria did they use? Number of years served? Performance? Does anyone know?

It definitely is favoritism. My manager had multiple HR violations against him and he had no skills. That cockroach is still around and he laid off most of his team

There is never an official one during layoff due to legal complications and I just learned from a VP that it doesn’t matter about your P size if you also have bo--s you are safe from layoff because they cannot be touched. Hope you can see the over all processes.

I don’t understand why we have VPs sitting around still making 500k who are obviously expendable still on the payroll? Until these are gone you know they are playing some kind of games not seriously cost cutting.

This is what I heard: there was a skill matrix to aid ranking people. Outsider advisers provide the recommendation who to cut with this input. Management can add other consideration like critical skill, prior cpm actions, etc.

Guessing the following criteria:

  1. They check your hairs to see if any obvious gray hairs show up
  2. They scan your skin colors to see if it isn’t black or white
  3. They open your pants to check on your genitals
  4. They ask you to speak different languages rather than English to see if you are aliens
  5. They check how many INTC stocks you have
  6. They check to see if you support Israel, Ukraine or against Iran, Russia
  7. They ask to check if you believe in god or in satan
  8. They check your vote status for Trump or for Harris

Need to vent on this topic....WE all know those employees who have that reputation no matter race, age, position etc. Why are there still low performing lazy break abusing should be laid off employees still working?????? This was the perfect opportunity to get rid of some/most/all of them!?! So many lazy non contributing people still here in ATD. unbelievable, just
goes to show the company is not serious about being the best and having great talent with work ethic. Huge missed opportunity
