Phillips 66 (P66) is truly an embarrassing place to work for , how do you think escorting people out like criminals who have worked tirelessly for you (12 hours a day for a measly pay you can make at McDonalds) would boost morale. What happened to a 1 month or two weeks notice ? No one is stealing trade secrets , but instead they decide to carry out an ICE /DEA sting operation. Great Job to the people who betrayed their friends and colleagues to look like Johnny Rambo.
Hey I’m the Cat engineer and I’m offended.
@1dg at least 50% of the Engineering staff are id--ts and do not listen to people that have run the equipment for decades. Just because a book gives a theory does not mean it will always work in a real-life scenario. That Cat engineer is the worst of them all. even the ELT make fun of him.
@1dg Me thinks P66 makes enough money to carry a few blue collar workers…. It helps the local economy and surrounding areas. Plus, the value added by having quality employees on the job make things run more efficient and less headaches.
@1ca if lowly, knuckle dragging operators can do your job, your probably over skilled for your job and should move on… This union mentality is what has ki-led P66, that’s assuming it was ever good to start with… A company is like an ecosystem, unneeded parts of the ecosystem die off. Unions disrupt this balance by giving the people whose job can be done a quarter of a person a job, thus driving up expenses to keep them on staff. It’s a perpetual cycle that destroys companies.

I hear that Boomtown is “upgrading’ operators to perform white collar work! Stay in your lane!
Time to let go 90% of HR All you need is someone to take care of payroll issues and VTO issues. It can even be a part time role tied to someone’s other duties in smaller organizations.
HR, as a department, is going to justify its own existence by complicating the rest of the business to create a need. They create processes that have to be followed so they have a job managing them. Churn.
Cut the overpaid.
The mixed messaging is horrible… layoff a few people and then put up job hiring postings a few days later……
Capital drying up. Screams of destitute.
Yup the Purge has started!
“ Escorted out like criminals” it wasn’t like that in the beginning, the story is the layoff employees would hit the shutdown switches on the way out.
Lost several in Bayway. Long time employees
Really sad. Escorted out like criminals
Were there more? I know we lost one at Billings July 1st. Been with the company a long time in multiple positions and was on the ERT. Nobody is safe
How many and are they all located in Houston?
