Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

The time is NOW!

When this virus outbreak is over (and it will end eventually) all of these companies that are laying off will be hiring again.

This is a two fold win for current Boeing employees.

  1. You can find a new job (that hopefully is a better place than Boeing)
  2. You can hurt Boeing by being a part of that mass exodus. Taking your skills elsewhere.

Don't wait. Start looking now while you are at home. Have your resume reviewed. It only works if many make the jump at once.

People have already left, many more people plan on leaving sooner than later. I'm definitely in the move to leave Boeing. It's a disaster of a company to work for, even before the virus situation showed up. Boeing makes commercial aircraft, McDonnell Douglas still makes military aircraft under the Boeing name. Nothing has changed. But Boeing is not the end all be all of aviation. They think they are but they're not. Many other aviation companies make the world of aviation what it is every day around the world.
Their insistence on having aircraft mechanics with an A&P license is useless because it's never used. Those of us with an A&P have seen right away how many Boeing employees who've been there so long who don't know a damn thing about being an aircraft mechanic. They're institutionalized and their ignorance is protected by the useless Union and Boeing itself.
I can't wait to leave Boeing and the greater Seattle area.

Ok so you beat the rush but what about all the complacent men left behind? They need a good kicking to get their collective rear into gear.

Do you have any idea how many people have already left?
When leaving or transferring the standard of behavior is do so, on the DL
It’s called being a professional
Take that with you.

@Ezc Ignore the haters. By the time they figure out Boeing will need a brand new bailout every couple months we will be long gone. Everyone on this site should stop hating and start preparing. Don't gamble with your livelihood folks, make sure you beat the rush.

Im sorry, I barely made it out of high school. So I think I’ll stick around with Boeing until I kicked to the curb by the company. I make more than people with degrees sweeping the floor atm. LOL Im too dumb to make it out there in the real world outside of Boeing.

No one has said everything is "fine", what the OP said was that we will get through this. Actually inferring the opposite, everything currently is not fine or there would be nothing to "get through"

No, I don't like 2 trillion more of debt, but the OP said NOTHING about that either.

The only "propaganda" is yours @rif+149JgEzc, talking about corporate mainstream propaganda. The way I read the OP post is that when this is over, it's time to get out.

Anger Management Issues?

The @muf+149JgEzc Post is a statement against the narrative that everything
Is just Fine, when it is not in agreement with the @zii+149JgEzc post.
Two trillion more dollars added to the national debt (tripling it) and that’s fine?

Corporate mainstream propaganda, gee what could that be, The Media

@muf+149JgEzc how the hell is it corporate propaganda to tell people to leave the company. You just have to stick to your narrative that anything not posted by you or that is not damning enough, in your opinion, to the company is corporate propaganda

@zii+149JgEzc, I can't argue your economics, you are right about hyper inflation. But again, we will get over this (4% of the population may be dead) eventually. Second, if everyone is printing money, then doesn't everyone have hyper inflation and therefore no one does?

A bit optimistic at this point in this unprecedented crisis. Throw out all previous history, trends and actions taken. Even "experts" (term used loosely) and all of their fancy algorithms got it wrong, are getting it wrong, and don't know how to even make predictions because all of their theories, calculations, and algorithms were based on 50-75 years of a society and world that always had people working even thru past crises. Not this time. Whole countries have shut down, and shut down concurrently. Sure, world banks will turn up the money printing machines to save their businesses and countries, but what underpins all of that fiat money? Real tax payer (businesses and individuals) revenues. Guess what's not happening right now? 50-75% of the world isn't working, leading to greatly reduced tax revenues. Production of goods and services (GDP) have fallen off a cliff. Very long story a little shorter - when countries just print money and give it away for free (leading to debt), it can lead to HYPER INFLATION. Venezuela and Zimbabwe are microcosms which support this theory.
