Thread regarding Saudi Aramco layoffs

Be careful of this, be careful of that

That's how I experience work at Aramco, I have to be constantly on the alert. I worked in other companies in the industry as well and there were certainly a lot of people who were classic opportunists who didn’t care about others, but nowhere did I experience that I had to be so wary of colleagues as I am here.

I don't know anymore if I need to be more careful of colleagues who are backstabbing others or the management. What are your experiences with jealous colleagues and backstabbers here?

Sour grapes... Last I checked this is is called thelayoff, not ilovemyemployer.
Language moderation aside, we come here to give our two cents on our experiences after being laid off. Aramco provides plety of material in that sense.

Absolutely, this is just nonesense. Aramco atmosphere is aboslutely cordial and all employees are treated equally. Expats are welcome with open arms and encouraged to collaborate in making Aramco the number 1 company in the world. Aramco takes the 4 critical behaviors to heart. ;)

Complete pile of miss-information nonsense. A laid off or fired employee must be behind this post. Sour Grapes 🍇.

Is there any Expats still there who aren't back stabbing opportunists?

Not where I used to be.

Toward the end, I trusted my Saudi coworkers more than my fellow Expats. At least they weren't afraid of losing their jobs.

Wow. The original poster is patting himself in the back for this Facebook, Twitter or Yahoo nonsense. This site is for layoff discussions, not personal emotional issues.

Somebody thinks this is Psychology Today on social media platforms. Please continue with the counseling sessions, Dr. Phil. There is no need to use the “reply” function to compliment yourself.

I feel that you are wise to have a heightened level of awareness regarding these matters. The truth is that there are certain informational co-ops that you can never ever become part of. You will have to become informed through some sort of back channel network. If you can locate one and become accepted.
