He was a highly highly compensated program manager with no business running a large organization, let alone one as large and complex as Intel's R&D org. You can tell a lot about people by who they attract when they move to a new company. He attracted Daaman Hejmadi to follow him to Intel. Enough said!!!
@1bay+169pV12Q Hey Murthy! What are you doing, trolling here???
@1bay+169pV12Q, technically speaking TSMC is an American company. 80% of its stocks are owned by American shareholders. It's technology and know-how are all from US. On the other hand, there is no need to feel sorry for Murthy who already made a fortune at the expense of Intel employees and shareholders. This fat a– has been a chronic liar being only capable of nepotism.
@1bay+169pV12Q Dude you seems to be new.
Why there was act in 2016 when he came onboard Intel. Why he k–led fab ? If he don’t know how to lead fab why take ownership?
At Qualcomm or previous companies, he only knew how to use synopsis and cadence tools. Coz he taped out with those tools and TSMC process he simply did not understood in house innovation of intel.
With intel going to TSMC, it is simply telling TSMC that you are the best. I think intel shld not tapeout with TSMC. It will be purely IP leak. Tsmc is very smart in reverse engineering being non US company.
Meanwhile....at Ampere Headquarters (all 1200 sq ft of it)
Riiing!!! Riiing!!
“Hello!! Hi my name is Murthy, I’d like to speak to Renee!”
“Hi, Renee speaking”
“Hi Renee, remember me, it’s Murthy”
“You mean the Murthy that that backstabbed me along with BK!?! Guuurllll, bye !!! “
Mutthi came at the right time and cracked the whip. He brought a lot of discipline and clarity to our roadmap. It is easy to throw dirt from the outside. Let's look in the mirror to see if we have the guts to do what he did. We will see the fruits of his hardwork in a few years with 7nm products.
I had the "honor" of seating next to Murthy during a project status meeting a few years ago. He moved his chair frequently bumping my chair several times (I really felt it). The worse part was that he spat on me during his passionate talk.
Why am I writing this? I'm still traumatized from the experience!

He and his cronies did nothing but damage the culture, reputation and whatever hard work employees had. I think intel will be better off without the toxic attitude and culture they brought from wherever they came. I hope intel restores to its great values and contributions to society and humanity
I moved from Intel to Qualcomm about 4 years ago... when I got there and asked about Murthy Jumping ship the general engineering consensus was "good riddance"
He should be fired 4 years before!
Good riddance.
he is fired
Not leaving. Fired.
Who’d want the mess that is intel now, lagging in technology and manufacturing and design
Says how screwed up Intel is, who is next
So, he will not be our new CEO now? So much for succession planning.
Good Riddance!
At least four years too late
Wish him well. He is going back to Qualcomm soon.
best news!
