Has anyone else experienced this? Last day is 12/1 but the pay period ends on 11/30. What is the point of making the last day a Sunday? I did not get a check for 12/1 and why would I as a salaried employee.
The only thing this has done is delay my unemployment claim by one week as the unemployment period is defined as starting on a Sunday and so state says I made money the week starting on 12/1 even though I did not. Making the last day to match the last date on the paycheck would have made more sense?

@1b4+1wa6CxOV , yes, last day was December 1st, got my severance on December 27th.
Did anyone that’s laid off with last date as December 1st get their severance yet and how many days dos it take?
Your health insurance coverage lasts until the end of the month. By having your last day be on the 1st, you get health coverage for the whole month of December. Then, with a layoff, you get six months of health insurance at employee prices. This would be January through the end of June 2025. Then you get one year of health insurance from July 2025, through June 2026 at full cost.
It actually made sense, making it 12/1 allows for the benefits continuity for COBRA, etc
My last day was 12/1 as well, I got my salary for that period, however did not get my severance payment yet.
