@1azt+1lqsCFIW Couldn't agree more.

When Intel put DEI policies in place and told managers you can only fill a req if you find a URM or DEI you knew that would ended in ruin. This isn't meritocracy, it is idiocy.

Intel made their bed, now they can sleep in it.

Ten signs you might be next in getting the Ax:

  1. Your manager won't look you in the eye any more.
  2. You are more then 1 level removed from either designing/building the product or supporting a customer
  3. You are in an overhead role.
  4. You are in a job that is redundant and a department that 'competes' with 3 others doing the same mission.
  5. You can't articulate exactly why, but you sense your job function is just a 'make work' role
  6. You haven't got an Outstanding or Exceeds Expectations in over 5 years.
  7. You are not a DEI
  8. You are a white, male and over the age of 50. You are above GR 9
  9. You are somewhere between 3 layers and 6 layers below the CEO in org level.
  10. You think you are great and you can't understand why every year, the 360 feedback on you is that you are a prima dona and you don't make the least bit of effort to work with others.

I believe the writing was on the wall back in 2016 when 12,500 people corporate wide with untold tribal knowledge walked out the door under ACT. I was one of them after 33 yrs. We were hiring people not based on their ability to do the job. Instead, how they fit into the URM or Diversity quotas. (Woke).... It all started when Obama met with BK in Ocotillo.

Did you ask about how to know you will be laid off in a couple of months, one month, one week, or tomorrow?

Badge didn't work. Paychecks stopped being deposited in my bank account. Escorted out of office by security when I demanded answers.

But I'm slow.

How about being proactive and just look for another job then wait to be laid off.

The more they RE-assure you of your job security, the more likely they are just stringing you along until they can figure out how to replace the (small amount of) work you do. Yar?

Yes, managers not responding to relatively simple things.
Mandatory all-hands meeting for the team or an out-of-the-blue 1-on-1 with your manager.

You know you will eventually get laid off if you work for Intel.
