For those that want to know when the next closing round might be, just look at the pattern. First off, it's been made clear that the liquidators can handle multiple stores at once, so we don't have to wait till a round of closings is done before announcing the next round. So the next round could happen at any time. As far as how many stores, the pattern has been a few stores here, a few stores there, so I think that pattern of small closing rounds will continue. Now as far as which stores, that's anyone's guess since these closings seem so arbitrary and random. Someone says Transformco has a list or method of how they close stores but I don't see it. It seems like a simple case of picking stores out of a hat. This is just my idea, feel free to chime in if you have more info.

According to me, yes, every store has an equal chance of closing. But who is the "me" you are referring to, on this anonymous page. That "me" could be anyone. Maybe there is someone else who thinks Guam won't close but that's not me. I think that they all have an equal chance. It's impossible to prove who wrote what on here, because this page is anonymous.
Johnny
Some one close this thread, the Guam KMart spammer is back.
So according to you, the Guam KMart and any other store has an equal chance of closing.
@1lwt+19HD50fw For crying out loud, it was an analogy. I didn't write that there were 38 Sears left. I was making an example, that mathematically, any number on Roulette has about a 1 in 38 chance of coming. So if you pick 10 numbers, as an example, you would have a 10 in 38 chance of Winning.
So make an imaginary Roulette Wheel in your mind, with the exact number of Sears/Kmarts left. Then however Many stores Ed decides to close in the next round, that's how many Times you spin that imaginary wheel. My larger point was that any remaining store has an equally random chance of coming up, much like Lotto Numbers Or Roulette, Keno, Etc..
It was an analogy, I didn't state that there were exactly 38 stores left LOL.
Here's an easier example. Write down every remaining store on a paper, put them in a hat, bucket, bowl, etc., shake it, then pick at random. That's how we figure out which stores will close next, as there is no rhyme or reason to the patterns. Surprised you couldn't get that, as being my overall point.
I just like using Roulette as my go-to Example, as It's my favorite C-sino Game. Use any analogy you want. Deck of cards, Coin flip, Lottery, anything that is random and unpredictable.
@1awa+19HD50fw You do realized there are 52 (not 38) stores 29 Sears + 23 KMarts = 52. Maybe you're just not good at math.
10 years ago Eddie closed stores in batches of 120. Even after the bankruptcy things were so dumb that stores that were under major renovation with long term contracts were liquidated, To think that Eddie is a complete blubbering mo–n when it comes to uselessly burning cash is to vastly overestimate his capability.
Yep, totally random. That Roulette wheel example someone wrote below was spot on. I think there are 38 numbers on Roulette wheels. Many people think # 7 is Lucky, others would choose their kids' birthdays, or whatever, but regardless of what number you pick, it has a one in 38 chance of coming up. Same with Kmart and Sears closings. Pick any of the remaining stores, because they all have an equal chance of being in the next round. It's just a matter of where that ball lands THIS TIME. Because eventually, maybe not now, maybe not Next Week, but eventually, the ball will eventually land in every number on the wheel. So some store's turns just haven't come up yet, but they will soon.
Like how many?
Pretty much?
Sears is Release a small round of Closures!
What difference does it make?
Pretty much random, yes. Like picking out of a hat. The hat would contain all the stores except probably Guam and USVI, and maybe Florida Keys (due to lack of competition). But other than those areas, any other stores pretty much have an equal chance of closing so ya, toss the others in a hat, and pick at random.
Kind of like playing Roulette. Many of my friends are like "oh number 29 hasn't come up in a while, so it's overdue". Doesn't really work that way, because each spin is an independent event. Any number has an equal chance of coming up regardless of what came before. So think of every remaining Sears/Kmart (except Guam, USVI, Florida) as numbers on Roulette Wheels. They spin the ball, let's Say, 10 Times in each round, wherever it might land. Those "landings" are eliminated. No rhyme or reason as to where the ball will land.
