Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

In comparison to other companies I’ve worked at…..

Citi is by far the cheapest.
Citi HR is way by far the worst.
Citi’s way of handling the layoffs is abysmally mismanaged.
Citi’s delivery of news and status’s of any direction is less than average I’d say.
Faith in company direction is horrible and I can understand that. Wealth management is the way to go, no wait, let’s sell it.
Overall moral is the lowest I’ve ever seen anywhere.

@7qzr+1t4Eew8l You can enroll in COBRA online without talking to benefits folks. I did so myself on first day TotalComp recognized I had been terminated.

I couldn't agree more. I have been in the industry over 30 years and have weathered many large layoffs. In every case, those that were laid received all the information they needed to move on within 24 hours of the layoff notice. Unfortunately, I was laid off by Citi at the end of March. I am still struggling to get my COBRA set up. Every time I call the hotline all I get is that they are receiving a high volume of calls (no kidding) and that I have to call back later. The HR person that I have been dealing with is utterly useless. Very frustrating!

Post ID: @gge+1t4Eew8l Why would you want to attend Holiday lunches or parties with 2-Faced Backstabbing Snakes who Smile and Lie to your face and may only Lay you off ?? I've witnessed competent employees get Laidoff and were told they and their knowledge and skills are fungible and redundant only for Citi to realize after they left Citi that NO One else knows how to do the jobs they were doing because there are intricate details and nuances that only employees who did the jobs actually know about. Even if other employees are trained it's Not the same thing or result. And then Citi kept Incompetent Braindead employees who have outsized Egos and Delusions of grandeur about themselves and did Not Layoff them off !!! If Citi can Fire or Layoff the competent employees due to "Managers' " jealousies, Citi's inability to realize specialized skills and knowledge, etc., then Citi can do that to me too ! This is why I do Not attend the Fake and 2-Faced Snake parties and lunches ! Citi and the "managers" can shove the Food up their AS$ES !!!

Has anyone else gotten the DART "We hear you" meeting invitation?? Coming to a theatre near you in July. LOL! We've all seen this same Fvcked Up Movie before several times. They have these same exact meetings at least once per year where they ostensibly ask for advice on how to improve Citi . It's the same BullSH!T movie every time! They're obviously Not hearing what they want to hear: We love our Low Salaries and Low Bonuses and wish they were even Lower. We do Not want to get promoted In-Seat so that our base Salaries increase. Please further decrease the 20% employee promotions to 10% or better yet, 0%. We want to RTO 3 to 5 Days per week. Citi and DART are Delusional High on LSD Koolaid. Why waste more Shareholder time and money by conducting these BullSH!T meetings? Other posters were right. Just go to www.thelayoff.com to get free and honest answers and advice that Citi and DART actually do Not want because the truth is too painful. Also, Citi does Not want employees airing out their dirty Fvcken laundry in public because potential employees may think twice if not 3 times before applying for or accepting jobs in Citi. And Citi's Competitors will have Schadenfreude and Laugh their A$SES off ! LOL!

I didn't mind the main part of my team being in other locations. But I did mind the Rah Rah, let's be a team and do team stuff when it appears the only interest are those in major CSC's, if even that. The larger organization, in this example did nothing for any employees outside of NYC while they had folks in other areas like Irving and Tampa. It's like those folks are invisible at the holidays.

I wouldn't mind having my team in the USA. I can live with not being included in the teams lunch events. I don't like having my entire team overseas while I am the only one In the USA that is not a manager. It forces me to work odd hours in the night for the 12 hour difference time zone.

And if you’re not located in Tampa, NYC or Irving forget it. There was a holiday lunch sponsored by seniors of floor at 388 last year. Too bad if you weren’t at that location, but you better go to office 3x per week or else to talk to other folks on your team via zoom.
