It is almost as though they knew the announcement would dive the stock price down. (That was sarcasm.)

To our dearest Callon acquired folks: Welcome!! We are in dire need of folks like you!! Qualified, not related to by blood or ex-college buddies, like our ever-inept management. Hope you can breathe some sense into us!!
Lets cover our departments one by one.....
Our new ventures have never found anything, and that's why we bought you!! Suriname you ask? We owned it while Exxon proved out adjacent acreage, but we took the credit. Even our partner Total told us to get lost while they handle it. And keep in mind this is in the shadows of the Alpine High $2.5 billion debacle. What not everyone knows is the same new venture group took a swing and a miss at three other plays in parts of the county with big losses.
Assets: Looked up how many wells we have in total and then compared that to our production. No wonder we had to buy real production and assets. North sea is a rusty shell with coat of yellow paint.
HR: If you're a blonde woman, you're in luck!! Those get promoted fast regardless of competency. Have something tangible to say or evidence a decision is headed the wrong direction?!?!? Then out you go with a security escort.
Public Relations: We try to associate ourselves with larger causes that seem admirable while we act like jackasses to our own employees. We give away trees like it's an act performed by Mother Theresa.
Engineering/Operations: We fired the folks who were good at what they do after senior Managment thought they should do it a cheaper and more dangerous way.
Thanks for joining the party and welcome to the nut house.
Callon people are going to replace a lot of Apache ones. Just wait.
APA is the sleaziest company I've ever worked for. They treat loyal people as commodities and their underhanded operations is a daily expectation.
Also, I'm pretty sure BJ is a man.
Give Callon some credit: Apache had 2 million minerals acres in Permian after the Mariner and BP Acquistions in 2010 and nobody wanted us. (Not to mention the grand Alpine High find).
Compare that to Callon, has a meager 120k mineral acres, and they get thrown 4.2 $billion. Apparently, their Public Relations, Engineering, New Ventures and management in general are pretty capable. Maybe our d-mba** management can learn from their model.
Ecclesiastes 3 1
The Mariner acquisition took place with the old regime in charge, which still held the values RP had instilled. Mainly, investing in our people. Acquisitions meant promotions for current employees. This regime doesn't operate that way. Bringing in all the outside management should tell you that. Callon employees will be slotted in positions to replace anyone that doesn't bob their head up and down on what JC, SR, CB, MM and all say
As a dedicated APA employee, I’m always happy to take a punch in the gut for the good of the company/team.
To he fair. Almost the entire company is relatively new anyways Smh. Not the same place. Soon to be better? Giggle giggity
If it’s anything like Mariner we won’t keep any of their people
What if they cut our bonus by half next month?
Callon employees will definitely replace many overpaid Apache ones
I bet they get to keep their offices.
anyone noticed where callon’s headoffice is located ?
Overpaid
They wouldn't even consider that, how would that mesh with their core values, which they hold in such high regard? What a joke the management is! Fire them all!
Replace APA employees with Callon. Fresh minds/bodies for JC to brainwash.
They never miss an opportunity to sc--w over the employees.
$4.5 billion for lass than 60MBbl/d of oil. I hope that deal what wasn't done under ....
So intentionally cr-ppy
