I WFH within 25 miles of Hartford office and got notified my manager i need to be in office 3 days a week from next week onwards. But we are moving out of CT for good. Even if i would stay in CT, i don't think will go to office 3 days week.

“ Inspections of Work Location
A Colleague's virtual work location is subject to initial and ongoing site inspection to verify compliance with the standards articulated in this Policy. CVS Health reserves the right to conduct scheduled compliance inspections of a Colleague's virtual work location at its discretion during scheduled working hours or another mutually agreeable time. Colleagues must consent to reasonable requests for such visits.”

Oh heck no. Now that’s taking it too far. That’s so intrusive and bizarre.

@3lpj+1sSfmBQZ - yes, that’s precisely the goal and it’s been going on for a few months. This latest announcement provides a revised policy to back up disciplinary action as well. The goal is to reduce severance packages later this year during the wave of layoffs. Make no mistake it’s coming.

@2ztf+1sSfmBQZ - This must be someone from HR or Leadership team. By asking people to quit you have revealed the true reason behind RTO. Let people go on their own and save on severance, avoid PR nightmare.

What’s really pathetic is thinking that driving to a cvs office is a demonstration of “survival of the fittest”. If anyone truly enjoys spending their personal time commuting to cvs’s rickety, old, barren, soulless offices just to sit in silence in a blank gray cubicle all day they are lying. Everyone at the offices are frowning, overwhelmed, and ignored. There is no reason to even have the corporate offices at all when productivity continues to increase with remote workers. The cvs offices are truly a miserable and soul-su-king oppressive environment, far from any faction of “survival of the fittest” people.

The pathetic thing is anyone thinking the location of work done has anything to do with quality. Also, the poster sneering at those choosing not to work in an office / not going to an office x times per week is poster child pathetic. What you send out comes back to you.

First world complainers all over this site. CVS is doing themselves a favor with this office push. Survival of the fittest. All these weak mentally fragile employees who can’t manage to leave their house for 3 days a week. Pathetic. If you all hate this so much why don’t you just get a new job?

Does any one in the leadership circle even care for their employees or productivity. In DDAT team we have to work many days beyond the regular office hours due to teams being in multiple time zones, supporting after hours deployments (twice a week). We did not mind doing that due to added flexibility of working from home. Additional commute time will result in people spending more time working and impact their health, personal lives. But NO ONE IN LEADERSHIP CIRCLE cares. Most are WFH conveniently. Leadership knows that majority of DDAT workforce comprises of H1 visa holders and they will put up with any atrocity’s until they get their green card (takes decades to get one these days). This gives leadership added whip to crack at their employees. So much for the Heart at work behavior's which is a sham. This will surely result in loss of productivity. But all they care is for their hefty pay packages. They CARE less about serving their members, or caring for employees. Total lack of moral compass.

Another example where CVS Leaders are not subject to the same rules as the working class. Many senior leaders are WFH. Leaders need to live by example. How can they have 2 standards. They can permanently shut down many offices, let people WFH and save on rent.

I truly believe it should depend on the job- for me I manage a team of 8 none of which live in CT. I support the west territory so my colleagues also do not live in CT. I spend about 6 hours a day on the phone. Because I deal with the west I often have calls at 6pm EST I sure don't want to be in Hartford till 7 at night! Many times when I have come in my peers do not even know I was there or I just wave at them through the glass. If however I had a team that sat in Hartford it would most definitely be there 3 days a week. The decision should be made by the department based on the situation. If on site presence makes sense then yes by all my means there should be accountability. If the executive team doesn't trust a manager to make that call then they shouldn't be in the job.

Lots of out of touch people about to find out just how hostile the ants can get.

Yeah, in the midst of a cost of living and climate crisis, CVS, the company who says they care about your mental health and environment, are going to force you in the office 3 days a week just cause.

Won't be getting a COL increase but we expect everyone to show up with big smiles, right?

Funny part is how desperately they're clutching onto a dying paradigm. Living inside of an image that's long gone and you can see it on their faces. Ohhhhh so close to be exposed for what they really are.

Worst part is they could of just listened to their employees and actually demonstrated some of those morals they never shut the fu-k up about. H&R block leadership already let the cat out the bag. There isn't a good reason for RTO. The countless amount of studies and recent data show this clear as day.

I imagine one day soon we'll get the receipts on the actual discussions and groups involved in this. You can only talk from both sides of your mouth for so long.

The majority of people have been resisting this pointless RTO mandate for years according to the email. Lets see what happens when angry ants gather.

The only reason for this new policy is to get folks to voluntarily leave or flat out quit. That's it.

Many groups (like the one I'm in), we only have one or two folks that are affected by this. So, how does this help anyone? So, one or two folks now have to show up to the office and be alone there? That's really going to help?!?

Don't forget, all you need to do is do a badge swipe. No one say's you have to stay X amount of hours.

What's next, reduce the amount of PTO accrued? That would give us more time to work together with one another!

CVS should absolutely have the right to inspect your home office. Guaranteed most WAH are not abiding by the policy. I’m on many project workgroups and still hear people’s kids and crying babies in the background. WAH has become an excuse for irresponsible parents who don’t want to pay for daycare. Not to mention, unless you have a room specifically dedicated to work you are not in compliance. If your home office is not private and there are others at your house you are in violation of the policy.

So now according to policy CVS can inspect your house!

Inspections of Work Location
A Colleague's virtual work location is subject to initial and ongoing site inspection to verify compliance with the standards articulated in this Policy. CVS Health reserves the right to conduct scheduled compliance inspections of a Colleague's virtual work location at its discretion during scheduled working hours or another mutually agreeable time. @1vqq+1sSfmBQZ you are a shortsighted and undisciplined slob who apparently cannot function in any professional capacity without human resources mandates guiding your every action. If I had to guess, you are a career manager or senior manager in his 50s.

@1kun+1sSfmBQZ, you obviously care and are part of the problem. If you work here I hope this initiative drives you to leave or be terminated along with the other work at home cry babies. Next step for CVS should be to repeal the terrible dress code of allowing non-business attire in offices. The request to review this has already made its way to Brian and other leaders. Let’s bring some decorum back to life. People who dress professionally often behave as such. Clearly, a foreign concept to you…

Have a great day!

Good. People need to return to the office. Personal preference, family or financial situations a should not interfere with your job. Everyone needs to grow up. If you can’t be an adult, get up, dress professionally and come to the office for only 3 days a week then you should find a new job. There was a time, not long ago where most of us worked 5 days a week in office as PROFESSIONALS. And shocker, we had to figure out how to handle personal affairs outside of working hours. I’m excited about this and only wish it was expanded to include more Aetna/CVS locations. I miss working with true professionals and I’d be happy to see slobs that can’t/don’t want to comply find employment elsewhere. I support this 100%.

Karen is the worst. She's gotta go. If we're not worrying about layoffs, it's the lack of salary increases to meet the cost of living and now WAH???? Which clearly saves a lot of employees money. They talk so much about mental health awareness well Karen you got me about to check myself in a mental institution!!!

Does anyone know if the 25 miles requirement is counted 25 directly from an office or 25 miles driving? I'm directly 25 miles from an office but because the roads are windy, it's 28 miles driving according to google maps.

There is absolutely no reason to be mandating that employees go to the office 3 times a week. It’s simply childish. Morale is already at an all time low. And having people commute to a soulless, dilapidated, dull, gray office every week is only going to make it worse.

3x a week if you’re 25 miles from office. WFH colleagues are being converted to hybrid if they meet this criteria.

This company is something else dude. We've been coming in 3 days a week for almost a year now. Been coming in for 2 days going on 2 years.

Which apparently we didn't have to fu---n do since it's only NOW they're trying to get everyone back in.

It's been years and you still can't get people back in. Meanwhile the people who have been going in the whole time are a really happy bunch.

Do we all feel like adults now? If the pointlessness to this whole RTO hasn't gotten to you yet give it some time, it will.

Absolute clown show.

Tomorrow and really it's just 2 days on average. Some of us have been following the rules already and my guess is they are coming down harder thanks to those who haven't been in compliance.
