@1any+1lJL8cjW, yup! First time I got laid off (back in the dark ages before the Interwebs) I got 2 weeks of severance. That's it. It's been creeping up since and yet you still have these entitled whiners bi--hing and moaning about "how it's all EVIL". Need some serious reality checking, y'all!

Agree. We dont get such benefits in most companies even when we are employed.
Sundar is acting like 95% of other CEOs of publicly traded companies. Being EVIL is a part of the job. The letter is incredibly entitled and kind of explains why so many have been laid off from Google.
I wouldn't even want to sit next to someone that worked for Google on the train, let alone work with them.
Boo-hoo ... we demand "employee" input, we demand that our maternity leave be honored. Wha wha wha ...
Lest we forget, maternity leave is a benefit for employees; once you're no longer an employee, the company has no obligation to honor any benefit agreements. Besides, the company is granting those laid off 16 weeks of severance plus a week for every year of service. Stop. Think. That's a MINDBOGGLINGLY generous severance.
So stop with the f*cking whining already.
