Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

I Just Got Terminated

I am an older worker who just got the boot from Centene with no warning, after just receiving a glowing performance review 3 weeks ago. The performance review stated what an asset I am to Centene! If this is how they treat their assets, I would hate to be a "slacker" worker. The termination was done so methodically and robotically, with the management person refusing to answer my questions, but referring me to FAQ's. WTF! How very inhumane and unkind from a company who states they are dedicated to being person-centered regarding the nursing home residents. Perhaps management could learn a thing or two by practicing that same ethic with their "asset" employees. I'm so over this company!!

Trust me when I say that being let go from Centene does nothing but open up doors of opportunity for you. I left the organization about three years ago, and I’ve fallen into opportunities that I could never ascertain while working for corrupt Centene. Centene is led by the most incompetent, evil, greedy managers on Earth. Consider yourself lucky to no longer be a part of a company that lies day in and out to its members and stakeholders to turn a profit.

They are evil, incompetent and frankly is better to get rid of them. Hopefully the government will get them at the end

I think it may be a blessing in disguise being laid off from Cantene. This company does not care about anyone and all they do is lie.

I am sorry to hear this and I wish you good luck. My husband was laid off in December and it was devastating from him but he was able to find a comparable job last week.

I was let go in 2020. Long-time "older" employee too. I think I am in the minority in that I figure this is just the way things are. There is no such thing as job security these days. It's only business and not personal. I hated being let go. Everything that was comfortable was taken from me, but ultimately I am just a number and that is the reality most places you go. Keep your Linkedin up to date, keep yourself open to recruiters on Linkedin. Always be ready your next move. Long gone are the days when people stay at companies for years on end. Before I found my current job, I had more than one recruiter tell me this.
