Thread regarding Wayfair Inc. layoffs

At least there's decent media coverage

I have found dozens of articles on the latest layoffs, including from some of the major media names. I know it doesn't mean a lot in the grand scheme of things, but who knows? If there's a lot of negative publicity, maybe the ELT will think twice before doing something like this again sometime soon.

@1aknt+1ilTJtfk Wayfair circumvents the WARN act by keeping people on payroll for 60 days after the RIF. They filed the last WARN notice the day of the RIF, then held people on payroll.

Next time they'll just lay people off in smaller pockets so the WARN Act doesn't come into play. Financial services companies have been doing it this way for years now.

Company continues to be completely irresponsible with both its cash and its employees livelihoods. Wayfair is evil, they can't even do layoffs on a normal day.

think twice about what? the company has incinerated $1B in cash over the last year, and at current rate, there's a little over a year of runway left. this is just the start.
