Same happened to me in 2001 in another insurance company. In the conference room, we all got verbally insulted by a takeover management ( hostile buyout). They insulted us for being loyal to the failed company and accused us that we become obsolete. Two nights i had no sleep but i recovered . Got a good job and moved on. But i prayed that the new management folks go into ditches ( fail miserably) and they did. So be careful what these people wish for.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I really wish that none of us had to face this. Completely terrible.
I'm in this building in the deceased group and can confirm the building has been emptied quickly.
I'm sure we're next now that we have fully trained our replacements in India.
Devoted and loyal employees of up to 35 years...marched into a conference room and told their number is up. Box your stuff up and be out of the building in 30 minutes. Thoughtful....yeah.
So tired of hearing their lies. "Thoughtful" decision, yeah right. No relo offered and any requests to do so on your own are denied with no real consideration given. Sometimes they also tell the media that they try to 'repurpose' employees and find them other roles. Also a complete lie.

That's very sad. 😔
This was the Fraud and Claims group, who were moved over from Account Resolution last year. Over the past month, the building has emptied rather quickly. The leftovers will be gone soon.
