I've been here for less than a year and so far I've enjoyed it. It surprises me to see so many negative posts about working here. I'm not sure if I just got lucky with my location or if there's something else going on. In any case, I'm happy enough that I've started worrying about possible layoffs. That never happened to me before, I never cared enough to worry about being cut. I guess I'm in the minority but I like it here.

Most felt like that at one point until the other side was revealed. Don't get too comfortable or be fooled.
I used to like it when I first started too. Then reality sets in once you’ve been there a while and you notice things and how they are. The favoritism and the unfairness of it all. People who do all the work don’t get nothing. People who are brand new get promoted for no clue why. They cut off things and become cheaper every year. The people who work get punished by getting worked to death and the lazy ppl who don’t do anything at all are just ringing all day. Macy’s punishes the good employees and the bad ones just stay behind the register all day and slack off. Managers are for the most part grossly incompetent.
