I was advised by my manager that there will be layoffs coming on the 15th. I am not sure what departments. She said 417 people.

@1ap rumor was partially true. Rumored date and total may not have been correct. Cuts were in the field over the past couple of weeks and that's what I heard was coming. Specialist roles, more specifically.
To bad wish they would rest the management in Halfmoon NY location. They treat people like waist.

I've heard something is coming but will most likely affect the field and contractors. Today is GSM, meaning if it is in the field today will probably not be the day. Regardless, there has been a cycle of roughly 6-7 months per layoff. One wave most recent took place approx. January. It would be on par with the past few years pattern. No one will know for sure until it happens (if it does).
Its noon and nothing hapened. Can we say it was just a rumor ?
