It seems that every day I'm hearing that another person left voluntarily. On top of that I'm not seeing any new names coming in for backfill, or even job postings to try and bring someone in.
It just feels like we're at the breaking point, and I dont know how to recover.

Update your resume. Seek out certifications and ways outside of work to grow. Apply. Network. Reach out to friends at other companies. You want out? You have to work for it... but I will tell you what, it is worth it.
I left a few years back and I recently heard about this site from some friends still there. Genuinely, I am sad and amazed at how bad it is. I spent over a decade at TD. I became close with folks at all levels of the company from junior folks to senior leaders. I left mostly because of the c level... I don't intend to say more about them. Their actions and lack there of speak for themselves. I also left because I was done with not being able to say bye to friends that were impacted so I decided to say bye on my own accord.
I'll be open here, I went to a competitor when I left TD. Some folks knew and were a bit shaken at first but understood. Life here is amazing for the past couple years. People genuinely care about change, technology, and get excited at the idea of just giving something a shot even if it likely doesn't land. We learn, change, adapt, and grow quickly. Customers still recognize me and we chat. They often bring up they are migrating off TD to our solutions and TD's AI strategy is not an enterprise solution. I always feel bad about it but companies aren't going to sit and wait for TD to catch up to the rest of the world. They will just be the next Kodak and be left behind.
Don't be the next Kodak. Learn, grow, and push yourself to do better. Connect with friends and live a better life in and outside of work. Best of luck old friends and old colleagues.
Let me be clear that TD has always been a sh-thole but this is definitely the lowest morale and worst working culture yet, thanks to endless push of AI and "do more with less" clownery
Five years ago it was time to get out. Now its just getting ridiculous.

To suggest Teradata is healthy and growing is comical. Whatever jobs they are filling now is cheap labor in India, unless ELT decides to bring on one of the buddies for the snooze cruise.

Our Product Org is hiring 5+ people a month since November.
I got out. As others have said its the middle tier managers who su-k upwards and cr@p downwards. Some have 30+ years in the company and are still stuck in the glory days thinking they are making a difference. Fact is that customers don't believe in the brand anymore and it's ability to deliver. Customers see the massive job cuts and think why should we invest in a company when it doesn't invest in its own people?
I left voluntarily (found a new job). I held out hope longer than I should have, watching spineless, unqualified leaders reward their favorite sycophants, I realized no paycheck is worth that much of your soul. Turns out a competitive salary can only paper over so much… and it couldn't cover the daily misery of going nowhere, doing nothing meaningful, surrounded by yes-people with oversized egos. I got out before the ship finished sinking.
@hk yes! We're so eager to hear him ask us "what we bring to the table" and tell us that "he's building stuff everyday". Come forward, super-engineer!
Why haven’t we heard from Super-Engineer about how wonderful everything is and we are just not pulling our weight? Maybe he got it? That would be poetic.

I got laid off and didn't leave voluntarily. But the few ex-colleagues who are still there and I've been talking to are feeling depressed and see no hope for future. Good luck everyone.
100% time to get out...Glory days are long gone...company is collapsing with customers bailing left and right. ELT is trying to hang on with buzzwords and empty, fancy rhetoric with no direction and no compelling product offering...RUN!

@OP they certainly won't hire in the US anymore, so don't expect backfills.
@OP you were very fortunate. There are few good paying jobs out there for Teradata Associates. If someone leaves voluntarily, I recommend having at least 9 months of salary in the bank. Not your 401k or IRA, in the bank.
@OP I left voluntarily for the same reasons you mentioned. It was the best decision financially and mentally. I landed with an amazing company with good culture, pay, high bonus rates, work/life balance and benefits. At the end of the day, you have to do what’s best for you.
