Thread regarding Ford layoffs

No space

Ford Land can spin whatever BS they want. Finding a desk and a parking spot is now a full time job. Absolutely ridiculous how few places there are to work. Perhaps they want me to work on a couch at coffee table.

I know someone who works for Ford land. Must not have enough work for him cause he is always playing golf, mowing his lawn, or washing his car all afternoon. Probably should send them back to the office to actually interact with people instead of doing personal stuff on company time.

@b0+1k0yhnxcf that area of town is famous for window pops. doesnt happen a lot but it is a real pain when it happens and sometimes you loose your stuff. even well lit streets downtown get hit. paid and guarded lot / garage is the rule. detroit is coming back but it sure isn't there yet.

One of my favorite things is watching the people who land after 9am walk around and not be able to find a place to sit at and put in an honest 4-hour day.

@OP

That's what all the young talent Ford is recruiting likes. Stop being a boomer, pull up a pillow and sit on the stairs.

@an

Just like the old days, huh? We must cling desperately to the past in all possible avenues. It's the only true path to success.

Moving forward never did anything for anyone. Plus, any progress is super scary, right?

Sounds like time to set up a cottage industry. Rent folding chairs, folding tables, power chargers to your coworkers. Valet parking for your coworkers.

Don’t park on the street near the train station. I did and my window was smashed to steal a bag of old clothing I was going to drop off at the Salvation Army after work.

@an - you are right, everyone saying this must not know what they are talking about. Ford Land tells us there is space so there must be space. 🙄

Everyone posting these "no space" posts have obviously not been coming in to the buildings. Plenty of space. And plenty of parking, though you have to walk very far. Just like the old days.

What the freckles leaders didn't realize was that Ford Land considers bar stools in kitchens, couches, and the garbage decorative chairs are included in their numbers as workspaces. Ford Land purposely lied by omission and the execs are not holding them accountable. Instead their solution is just to make the employees deal with it.

They want you to drive to work and work from your car. Imagine those drive in movie theaters 😂
