Thread regarding Hess Corp. layoffs

Gulf of America

The word going around is there will be a mass exodus of employees leaving offshore assets if the sale goes through with Chevron. Leaders all the way down to Operations and Maintenance. I’m assuming EOI’s and company jumping. (OXY being the main destination) Any info on how true this is? Wouldn’t be a good start for the new operation if that is the case.

The Hess GOA D&C / Wells team is quite small. For example, I believe they only have like 3 dedicated CE's for their entire GOA team. The Hess GOA D&C team will either be easily absorbed or easily severed.

Where is the Gulf of America, I can't find it on my aircraft navigation mapping devices or hard copy sectionals.

The gulf assets are in decline. Chevron will either sale them or if they continue to operate, will easily absorb into current supporting operations
