@v1
And highest paid!
@191 True that. Talking bad about their teams behind our backs while we’re the ones holding the company up. BB in Ops knows a little something about that. That miserable woman cannot help but talk bad about her employees.
@101 This company spends so much sending "leaders" to these meetings. All they do is pump each other up and pat each other on the back for spewing buzzwords and agreeing with the VPs
@159 you’re going to have to narrow that down a bit. 😂
@ez How about that DM that micro manages or that robotic “safety expert”.
Wouldn’t surprise me. The managers are heading out of town again.
@v1 and Zayo isn't going to have over the keys to lighttower mgt as Crown did. Zayo is buying the network. Anything they said about "people" is just bc they didn't want people jumping ship before the close. They will keep you on for another 3 months to help transition, and then you're gone. Even Arimummy, they will reorg too and let people go. its PE people come on. Its still better then being at Crown
Towers is definitely at risk. Incoming work has slowed, managers are pulling in different assignments just to fill in our days. There is so much radio silence from these same managers which doesn’t put anyone’s mind at ease. Not sure if it’s even worth staying with crown until the end of the year due to the uncertainty.
Check the Zayo Group Holdings page on here, they had a RIF in January. Those Zayo ppl already talking about how they don’t want any Lightower folks. Which makes sense because lightower fiber engineers are some of the lowest class ppl I’ve worked with at crown.
@es You’re right about the dead weight. Most of the management after the first line management going to Zayo, needs to be cut. There’s alot of fly on the wall, bump on a log types that have no business leading people.
@em no the deal is that you will have the same salary for a year You don’t have job security for a year. You think Zayo is going to keep all that dead weight for a year
@e9 If you look at the agreement, there is a one-year safety net: if they let you go within 12 months of the deal closing, you still get the full severance package.
However, don't let that cloud the bigger picture. Most states are "at-will," meaning your boss can fire you whenever they want for almost any reason. Without a union or a contract, there is very little to stop them.
The term Human Resources says it all. To the people making the big money, we are just a resource to be used for profit goals. In their eyes, we are pawns on a chessboard.
The bottom line? No job is guaranteed. Always be ready for the next move.
That’s just Towers folks rage baiting since they know they’re getting the short end of the stick. Heads are definitely gonna roll on the Towers side since there’s a lot of dead weight.
@ac+1kpxwyhfg No layoff for those people by Crown. There’s no saying that they won’t be let go by their new employer, even more uncertain would be if they receive a comp package.
It’s coming. No doubt about it
@OP rage baiting?? It’s already been shared multiple times here that the buyers for fiber and small cell are expecting the staff that have been designated. So no layoffs of those people. Towers on the other hand, your guess is as good as anyone’s.
