Look, I've been in some meetings with some of you (yes, I know exactly which group is upskilling) there are a lot of you that need either soft skills or hard skills or both.

@15c Nobody is saying "don't learn". Its us current employees talking about the latest lame initiative that is just more hot air and opportunities for people to check boxes for end of year reviews.

Take any and all opportunities to develop new skills. Always. Be. Learning. I was at TR for a really long time and acquired a lot of skills over the years. When I got laid off 3 years ago I got a great job right away and am still learning new things.

A complete waste of time. If I'm going to do training and learning (which I do), its not going to be from people who are at Thomson Reuters. Its just so many people who can't actually do the real work using all the buzz words and AI generated materials they can find to check off end of year goals for themselves. I just want to be able to focus on my job and be able to actually accomplish real work in 2026.

These are placebos like nonfunctional pedestrian crossing buttons that are meant to waste your time and distract you from the lack of opportunities.

By all means do it! Those are really good resources. We all need to take the time to upskill and be prepared for eventualities!
