Looks like nothing happened to the 2nd week of March. What is in the works apparently is the replacement of management with Ai bots. Now this is interesting.

UP manager is the best gig around.. Do nothing, know nothing.. Get paid 6 figures.. If get let go leave with 6 figures .. It pays to be incompetent

@209 I bet nothing happens. Just some union guy sitting at a lunch table with food all over his bibs typing trash. Might as well be a manager.

We will see who is unskilled after the college boys who drank all the UP kool aid are eliminated, who can’t work with their hands in this AI economy.

lol even if you got profit sharing, you’d still complain everyday about simple tasks. Union unskilled labor is correct and you want a bonus to complain about.

@14n You are correct, however management would rather use threats and violence to increase profits and productivity.

@14n you already overpaid. You want profit sharing? You are just an entitled railroader. Union work is unskilled over paid labor. Get to work and quiet

Offer profit sharing to craft employees and eliminate most of the management and you'll see the productivity and profit kick up.

Why the 2nd week. Why not right now. What’s the hold up.

What happens to the UP pension if you file a lawsuit against the company for preferring H1B over citizens over hiring and retaining H1B, while laying off US citizens. California is looking into the same type of case and it is time for Nebraska to do the same

If BIG BOY starts it's tour that week , it's gonna be true. Big boy moves and layoffs happen.

They will layoff american citizens and retain H1B employees and contractors. Rahul and his henchman Rushi, will retain H1Bs and chop off american citizen's job.

Who’s going to take you to the doctor when you trip over your own shoe laces that you couldn’t tie all by yourself?

Mostly on the mechanical side. Talks of subsidiary use of outside contracting. Cheaper labor, etc. etc.

California is costing UP the most. Revenue vs. Ppm is a no brainer

@OP

What location?

@OP honestly Buc-ee’s probably pays more. Food service manager pays $42 hr in my area. Team lead and car wash managers make $33 hr. Lead car wash manager is around $160k year. None of those RR taxes coming out of your check either.

Mocking railroaders and using scare tactics of having to get a “real job” in 2026 doesn’t work and just sounds goofy.

Get rid of 75 percent of management, the railroad would save MILLIONs and never miss a beat.
