Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Predictions for 2026: you make the future

Shell drones and NPC’s it’s that time again to predict and possibly influence the future

What are your predictions for 2026?

Will Shell domicile move from UK to USA for economic reasons or a regional event?
Will Shell purchase another operator?

What assets must Shell divest in order to succeed?
How is Wael being received as a leader of the organization?

Is the organization genuinely invested and rewarding simplicity?

You control the future

No leadership vision & More share buy backs.
More outsourcing and movement of roles to cheaper locations. Less jobs in the USA due to the cost.
GOA packaged in to a separate company (like the uk North Sea assets have been) ready to sell off.

just fire me already

i’d rather be fired than do another reshape. seriously we have the weakest d-mbest and laziest leaders in the universe if they don’t even have the decency to figure out to cut everyone that needs to be cut all at once.

every single information source on running a company will tell you to cut once and cut as deep as you need to.

moving in little layoff batches forever means you have no idea what you’re doing and have no real plan for a stable outcome and no concern for morale. company is run by mo--ns if this is true. no other explanation.

NPC here…I’m comfortable creating richly complex processes and procedures that only a few can action. That’s my job security…2026 looks great!

Don’t anticipate any challenges or speed bumps…
