You better give a 5 or GTFO is the mentality. The amount of times I’ve been directly and indirectly told that one should answer this way. It’s crazy. This glint survey concept is complete cr-p. Specially if your leaders have a cult like mindset where they are best buds with each other and only bring up those that su-k up to them. Merit isn’t a thing anymore and if you feel the survey will change anything, good luck it ain’t happening.

Do you think the job market will get better in 2025? It seems like it's been so hard getting a new job lately compared to before. Which is probably why Schwab management is emboldened to be even more predatory.

ya, managers are horrible here - have zero care about employees, and the glint survey is all BS - nothing ever done because it would mean changing up mgmt and it's structure - they won't get rid of themselves!! - this firm has gone so massivly down hill - no wonder people are leaving left and right and I predict a big exodus after March

Manager said in team meeting that bonus pool would be impacted if we had low glint. Showed “ leadership” and he got promotion.

So an anonymous survey is mandatory? Enforcement would force them to admit it isn’t anonymous.

I’ve never completed one. Ever. And I have peers who dip in-and-out to obscure.

On my team I have told my folks that I get dinged for less than 100%, but that I think they need to do what they need to do.

It is optional. I haven't taken that useless survey in like 6 or 7 years and have never heard a word about it.

Do you work in AS trading sounds like a manager I know. Quite Disgraceful slimey management team who blow smoke up subordinates butts and only manage up. Selfish and lacking in any ability to manage. Recently had a meeting with the management team oh my....what a bunch of self serving babble and nonsense.

I've been told directly by a manager that they're pressured to get high scores out of their team or be let go. Which raises the question of why they even bother having surveys if they're going to fabricate results.

Not unique to Schwab. Came from another company that did this. They would even have “practice” surveys beginning 1-2 months before to get a pulse and then the next 2 months work the team into submission with repeat surveys and discussions to give all 5s. When leaders start doing this, the company will not be able to see those pain points and the surveys useless. I hope they catch on and speak with leaders as this will end up being such a waste of money.

This is pressure from MD levels not from your manager. If the numbers are low in STS, the MDs go after the Manager and Directors, which is the same tired story for anything that isn’t positive. The middle layers are thé worst place to be at Schwab when the firm should invest more at Director and Manager levels and limit MD.

Wait a minute. Why does it sound like my manager and my team? Lol. Managers do not appreciate, managers do not provide a platform to enhance your abilities, managers do not help you project your work to upper leadership, managers do not like it when you don't rate them 5/5. My manager says I should work like my 1 up level to get promoted. When I do, he neither appreciates nor markets his employee's achievements. At the end he says I did nothing and it will impact my bonus. They are all the same, and all them managers will go to h€ll and r◇t in my p◇◇

They are Targeting Engineers Who Raised Concerns and Pointed out Critical Design Flaws in Multiple Services. Acusing to the Director that Engineers are missing critical features when POs were laid off without anyone on the team being informed. Manipulating SAD documents days before the feature goes live. We can see who edited the Docs at the last minute and what the changes were compared to what was given to the Engineers as approved design doc. Verbally in 1:1s saying Bonuses will be impacted and team will be dismantled.
