Sad

The lengths people in power will go to. People know. Proof has been seen. Things always come to light. Secrets are out. So glad the AR’s were made aware before it was suppressed.
To our AR’s, keep note of what you have read and what is no longer here. it is very telling.

note: no names or any violations occurred in this post. if it’s removed, this site is compromised.

Stankeys email tells us all what we need to know. Keep your head down, work 8 hours, and keep your mouth shut about VP's like Matt taking bribes and fraternizing with vendors. COBC doesn't apply to them. Matt is his whole own type on Ponzi in plain view. C' mon Angela and Jennifer- WAKE UP!!!! Get rid of this crook and anyone associated. I promise you will see a HUGE difference in money out the door and revenue in. When leadership is lacking and slacking, chaos follows, and productivity plummets.
I am hoping since the ARC's seem to be reading these, they can push for change. They deserve it, our customers deserve it, and we employees deserve better!!

There’s still room for improvement by getting rid of our current CIO, but wow has the atmosphere changed with the recent terminations. It has lightened up a lot! I can only imagine if Matt was gone, the place would be fully back to a happy place to work.

Anyone else having a hard time seeing and hearing Matt in the office? It’s like watching a known criminal pretend he’s innocent. He boasts around as if all is fine. Dude you allowed people to be abused for years while you were running around with your vendor and agile coach.
It is so demotivating.

I’ve got to chime in here on this. Redemption isn’t possible in some instances such as this one. He has done so much evil to so many and for no reason other than his amusement. Sorry not sorry.

@1pd Let's just put it this way, he will not have any presence on social job boards. If he does, he will definitely run the risk of being outted to his new employer. He may want to become self-employed. I hope he has alot of time to reflect on the awful things that he did to employees and how it impacted their families. He was an awful person, but there is always room for redemption. I hope he understands the flaw in his ways!

I hope so. We have a voice now! I cannot imagine he will find another job easily. If he does, we should definitely make that new place aware of his termination.
Good will always prevail. It’s too bad we lost so many good ones because of him. EVERYONE who let this go on for so long will have it catch up to them too. We have reached our breaking point.

Oh he’s not officially dialed in or supposed to be on the call, his tech lead had him on speaker allowing him to listen and pipe in. This place is nuts.
I think people have reported it. I know one person on my team was furious. Matt has said he speaks to him as well, so no telling what all he’s got his hands in. Shame on these id--ts. None should be talking to him.

@1e2 Why was he fired? Does anyone have any idea? This is very strange that a terminated employee can be on the bridge instructing FTEs on what to do. Why doesn't someone report this to Ethics? You let me hear his voice on a call and I will!!!!!

Same experience except Tub only listened in and directed the two leads. I am positive he is having them do things that they shouldn't be. He is supposedly after the remaining AVP's big time. Our CIO might be a part of that b/c he has openly said he is taking to Tub too. He told our group if we needed anything that he could call him for us. I thought we were not to engage regarding work topics with terminated employees. Why is our CIO?Why is it like we still work for Tub?

Let’s be real — Tubby’s still calling the shots. Don’t get it twisted. Our CIO, his people, the director over in Dig Org, and the tech leads? They’re all still in regular contact with him. Every day. The wild part? One of the tech leads had him on speaker during a meeting, and he was straight up directing my team like he’s still on payroll. Talking to us like he never left.

It also needs to be reported that he has a close relationship with his preferred vendor. I've seen photos of their outings together, and the vendor has even claimed that Matt is on their board. They regularly attend events together—races, games, vacations, and more. This isn’t something he can deny, and it clearly constitutes an ethics violation.

He has funneled multiple millions to this vendor and continues to do so. Both he and the vendor should be held accountable and removed, along with any AVPs who have knowingly allowed this misuse of company funds to continue. This is one of the few things Tubby repeatedly hinted at that appears to be accurate.

Matt is the culprit fur sure. It’s obvious now watching the ex-AVP’s reports behaving like him. Seriously one of them is almost mimicking his behavior in the way he’s speaking to people. He’s not even a director. Matt has propped him up, so I guess he has the free reign to behave like the ex tyrant. You cannot cut off just the head because another will grow into it and that is what is happening. No doubt by Matt’s negligence or encouraging.
We need to all report Matt. There should be record of him protecting the recent release. Those that complained directly to Matt need to give HR the dates of those so they can build a pattern on Matt protecting bad behavior. I know at least 3 instances.
Let’s get this place back to a positive work place!

@1a5 something was wrong with that so called AVP. He is by far the most cruel person that I have ever met in a professional environment. You are right, several people reported him to Matt, but he put his own personal agenda before those that reported to him. What you detailed is aligned with what I witnessed this person do on a regular basis and he got away with it for years. Matt is also accountable.

The issues within our organization begin at the top. I personally witnessed a deeply troubling incident in which the now-former leader deliberately scheduled a meeting with the sole purpose of berating and belittling someone. It was not only unprofessional—it was cruel. After the person was dismissed, the leader and his team openly mocked the situation and discussed strategies to remove that individual entirely.
The incident weighed on me so heavily that I shared it with my wife that evening. Her response was clear: “That could have been me or our daughter.” It was a powerful reminder of how important it is to speak up—so I did. I reported it.
The response I received was that the now dismissed leader would receive coaching, as assured by our CIO. But it's clear that never happened. The behavior continued unchecked, and ultimately, that person was pushed out.
What’s most disheartening is that our CIO was fully aware of the behavior. He allowed it to continue. He enabled a toxic dynamic and prioritized his own interests over the well-being of others. That kind of leadership is not just ineffective—it’s harmful.

I have thought it as well. He hated Matt with a vengeance. He referred to him as clueless in a meeting and the entire room went dead silent. His AD at the time (not the one recently released) she started laughing and said "he says things without thinking but it is true". We were speechless, I mean you are talking about the top boss for us all.
Regardless if the things about Matt are true, this guy and some of his team never understood office decorum and appropriate behavior. They could have went to the proper channels to deal with his grievances.

I have had the thought that some of the posts in the various forums/threads about Matt (especially the ones late last year and this year before his departure) could be Tubs posting. So much has mirrored some of the things he would say about him. I know some are true (Matt does have a questionable relationship with a particular vendor) but Tub was the one telling everyone about it. Then he would elaborate into other negative things about Matt. He knew it would start circulating. He also would trash the other AVP's any chance he got. We know how Tub was, when he had it out for someone, he was relentless. I cannot tell you how many people that I know he went after that are no longer here. He would cook up stories and narratives that were not true or create a nefarious version of the truth and get his disciples to follow suit. I left willingly because he had started spreading rumors about me and it ultimately prevented me from making a positive career move. I knew it was only a matter of time before he found a way to eliminate me too, so I left before he could.

Oh he trashed Matt regularly and would try to act like he was joking but he knew it was planting seeds. So did his current and former direct reports. They all played into it together and separately. Meetings where they did this were so uncomfortable. The would drop comments then all giggle and say “this doesn’t leave the room” . Wild thing is one of them now reports to Matt. Mind blowing. I have no respect for any of them and have to see them every day still spinning narratives and acting as if they weren’t aligned with their former boss.
I’m not saying Matt is innocent of things, but I don’t know how to decipher what’s true or not. The termed employee was a diabolical liar that spun stories and encouraged others to as well to for his narrative. He told me once it’s just “hiding the truth”. Take anything you ever heard from him with a grain of salt.

You know what’s really strange to me? Tubs used to speak so badly about Matt. I mean, he hated him—at least based on what I personally heard him say. He constantly called him things like “stupid” and “incompetent,” among other insults. He even implied multiple times that Matt and a vendor had some kind of shady “deal” going on.

And during the interviews for the AD position, Tubs suggested that Matt had an inappropriate relationship with one of the candidates. That rumor spread quickly after it left the room. I have no idea whether it was true or not—but Tubs is the one I heard it from.

So why on earth did Matt protect him for so long? Did he really not know what Tubs was saying behind his back?

Time will tell with Angela. She has an opportunity to really make a difference, we will see if she ceases it. All of this will catch up to Matt just like with Tubs. When you purposely do things (targeted surpluses, protecting bad behavior, stealing from the company) to go after others for your personal gain, ego, or spite, it always will bite you in some way. It never ends well. As said in The Color Purple…. “Till you do right, everything you think about is gonna crumble.”

@123 I feel that she has at a minimum showed that she is not with the good ol boy network stuff. With her supporting the termination of Tubby and his cronie, this is at least headed in the right direction. Cleaning house takes time. She is likely not going to let everyone go at once, but I believe there are more Tubby situations coming in the near future. The house will be cleaned and the swamp will be drained. I have seen more movement from her than any other Pres. I would go easy on her for now. Give her a chance! Two down and many to go...let's get our popcorn and enjoy the show. We've suffered for so many years now...no rush...I am team Angela!

t's fine—let them delete the messages. It only highlights their insecurity and reflects even more poorly on them (if that’s even possible). Honestly, it just fuels more conversation about it around the office. Tub is getting a taste of his own medicine reading these.

On another note: we're a year in, and what has Angela actually accomplished? She has to be aware of the ongoing issues in IT by now. Shame on her for not addressing the root cause, I predict that it will be a short lived tenure for her because of it.
