PD’s agenda and goal was never the same as the work force and never will be.

Don’t shortchange PD, he had more than one strategy. He also perfected the art of getting rid of the workers that made the company great, liquidated valuable real estate, and put all of the proceeds into his own pocket.

All companies carry debt. The difference between most CEO’s/Chairman of the Board and PD is most company’s have a strategy for positive growth, healthy cash flow, and successfully managing their debt. The only strategy PD has ever had was talking financiers into giving him money. PD and his inner circle have their money well shielded from the collapse that is coming.

Cablevision and Suddenlink did have a lot of debt. $15B combined. What PD did was show up and add another $10B to that $15B! He grossly overpaid for those two companies, and then immediately ripped them apart to su-k money out the back door to fill his coffers. A few years ago the company paid $2 out of every $10 it received to just "Service the debt". Not pay down the debt....but just pay the interest. Today those numbers are $2 out of every $8. Revenue is declining....customers are leaving or lowering their bill, but the massive debt and interest expense is still there. The company is dying...

@1dy sound like youre of the mindset that Altice intends on actually making payments on any of its outstanding debt... 🥺

The thing with corporate debt is that it’s relative. Yes…Altice and PD have clearly reached ridiculous levels…completely irresponsible and off the charts…But…it should be noted that in general, cable companies, just like utilities, have always carried much higher debt loads than other types of businesses. This is for 2 reasons, first the costs of building and maintaining the networks and infrastructure needed for these kinds of businesses is very high, it takes a lot of capital investment. However, banks and lending institutions are usually happy to extend big loans and credit lines because cable businesses and utilities have a rock solid, predictable cash flow that gives lenders confidence in their ability to pay off the debt. Monthly customer bills for service are reliable, steady revenue. Even going back to Cablevision under the Dolans you can see there were already heavy debt loads.

@14a yes , although the math part was misunderstood , the main point is Patrick deceived investors/banks / suppliers . Took all there money took much of it through select groups of people / suppliers / su-ked the company dry / wasted much of it and now here we are . He done the same in Europe and was already known for such before even swindling the America version .

It’s so funny how everyone sits here and plays stock or financial advisor as if they’re anything more than an employee or a cable company. Charter is the company with the second highest debt of any company. Do some research before you sit here and tell us charter is the great hope to buyout this company or that they’re doing any better in the dying world of cable. Any company that’s not making internet and cellular their main and only priority is going to get left behind fast in the coming years.

Comparing the price of one individual stock with another, Altice vs. Comcast, $2.19 vs $260, is an absolute meaningless comparison. It tells you nothing. It doesn’t reflect the size of the company, profitability, the quality of management, whether dividends are paid, nothing about past performance.

There can be a company worth $1 million. The owners can decide to do an issuance of 4 shares each share worth $250,000 or a million shares with each share worth $1.00…

You undermine whatever point your making by posting a comment like that.

Charter stock price$260.00 Altice stock price $2.19, that’s all you need to know. These people are amateurs but somehow got the funding to try and run with the big dogs in the United States. PD was able to smooth talk Wall Street into bank rolling his ego and now billions of dollars are lost and good people’s lives and livelihoods are ruined. They have always been a joke in the telecoms industry. Mention Altice to any other telecoms leader and you will get an eye roll or a chuckle. PD is like the rich kid that moved to town convinced he would be the big man on campus but wound up being laughed at by everyone. This company is on its back just waiting for the three count and I can’t wait to see these $hitbags disgraced even more than they already are by having their company fall into bankruptcy and and sent running with their tails between their legs.

I am sure most of these jobs are going off-shore to the Optimum Jamaica call center.

The call center housed Commercial Sales & Retention, I don't think they got the cut. We were advised there would be a meeting today, and was informed of the termination. They stated we would be allowed to apply to other internal departments if we'd like.
