Well that was a bs meeting. All redundant statements and didn’t answer the question we wanted answer to. HTHD got sc--wed too.

Do you laugh or cry? 30 years of observing the same Ford games. Good in theory initiatives are set up by well intentioned individuals. Those initiatives are destroyed by the LL3->LL6 who use the initiatives to reward the FnF and advance their own careers - the intended purpose is ignored.

As soon as the HTHD was announced we all knew it would be abused. Sure enough they were dispensed to FnF.

Stick around long enough and you will see the pattern. In the 1990s almost overnight a slew of women were promoted to GSR 9 (later GSR 9&10 were rebadged to LL6). The thing was that the management excluded the most capable women from promotion. FnF was well represented though. At the time we were told the capable women’s time would come. But it didn’t and they all left Ford.

Ford tries to break the FnF game by bringing in LL5 and LL4 from outside. They are defeated by the entrenched FnF cabal every time. They have the numbers and the patience to sabotage the outsiders efforts. The entire LL3->LL6 need to go.

They got their title, why expect anything else? That's why HTHD is a thing now.

From an old timer, I hope you all don't factor that bonus into your household budget because it's going away really soon.

401k match will be going soon too. It's the early to mid 2000s all over again.

And don't worry, the execs will still get theirs.

At some point it depends on how you see yourself. If you are categorized as HTHD and think Ford is sc--wing you over, I don't see why you'd stay. HTHD people are resourceful, and they tend to leave if they don't get what they think they deserve. I don't see truly HTHD people staying and just dealing with sub-par compensation.

HTHD just means that Ford acknowledges you are under compensated for your role you have. Our entire team got changed to HTHD 3 years ago but no comp changes ever followed. Our LL4 told us not to hold our breath.
