@1ng the overlap between grades is approximate 25-30% as it changes depending on what you’re discipline is.
If you ask HR (not that worthless AI bot) they will tell you where in the grade you are.

@OP 3.5% UK. But there are exceptions. I managed to get over 20% for one of my direct reports. His salary was so low that was beyond the left limit in the graph. Probably had received very low pay rises in previous years.

@1ng There is overlap between pay grades, but that doesn’t mean they will automatically bump you up to the next grade when you reach the top of your band. Promotions are hard to come by these days. We’re a top-heavy company, and I have a feeling levels F and up are going to get hit hard in the coming 18 months.

@17b I was told there's plenty of overlap between F & G ranges that annual pay rise should progress unfettered... i guess that's not necessarily true?

2.2% P&O Level H in US;
I'm shocked actually, last year got 4.2%, this year 2.2%;
Got a rating of "Valuable Impact" - i asked what I did wrong, manager not able to explain what happened or why it was low for me.

@ew You’re very quiet as to what you actually received, instead you insult those that are sharing a number that seems quite a common theme, all whilst posting as B Looney, says it all really!!!

The responses understate the average pay raises. The underperformers (who are overrepresented on this forum) will always get less than the average.
