This just in: CNN declares the exchange rate really is propaganda!
You can buy 3 gallons of gas with 1 Canadian dollar. Just put a Canadian Flag iron-on on your backpack and show it to Abdul at the register. Make sure to exchange pleasantries with the many youths and Rhodes scholars in the Mobile gas station off of I-75 who are there to buy things and not steal. Tell them you are from Windsor and you will get smiles and handshakes.

Hilariously wrong!
The exchange rate is $0.73 USD for $1 CAD, a $100 USD item costs a Canadian approximately $137 CAD, plus exchange fees.

Is the exchange rate propaganda too? LMAO

Americans pour over the Canadian border every morning for the endless opportunities.
I always notice all the bridge traffic is on the American side going into Canada.
Because Canada is so amazing.

Medically induced su1c1de happens in Canada only and isn't counted in your statistic.
Sad that they couldn't get reliable healthcare and had to resort to such extreme measures.
More than 92,000 so far in 2025.
Every year the number goes up. Sad!

The su----e rate in Canada per 100000 is 9.5. In the US it's 14.1.

If you follow the news, loss of hope is right.

Doctors and the government aren't encouraging this.

People are making their own choices, generally driven by being in constant pain.

At least they can also choose to live and get the medical care they need.

In America if you have a serious medical problem and don't have insurance, the choice isn't yours. You're probably just going to die.

In America, hospitals are only required to stabilize people coming into the ER.

They won't treat your cancer.

And do you really think hospitals in Canada tell all sick people to off themselves?

Talking about sick is a country with so many billionaires and so many homeless at the same time.

You should visit Canada and see what it's really like instead of relying on propaganda to know what the rest of the world is like.

No hospital in America will refuse anyone without insurance. They will had you a bill when you leave.
First world service with a very large bill vs "have you considered su!cide? I will really help the system."

PS Canada's GDP for 2025 is estimated to be about $2.26 trillion USD. Your entire country's output is twice is large as the salary of our richest resident.

Canada has provinces, like Alberta, and territories, like the Yukon Territories.

You don't have provincial taxes and territorial taxes in the same place.

Now, total taxes are slightly higher in Canada than the US, but if you add in your medical insurance premiums, you probably pay more in the US and get less for your money.

No one in Canada goes bankrupt over medical debt.

Canada is a true Welfare State and also under the British Monarchy.
The average worker pays a Provincial tax and a territorial tax. Someone making an average wage in Ontario pays 53.53% income tax.

Did you know that illegal immigrants in Canada can pay income taxes?
Is it really falling apart? No. But I wouldn't want to live there.
Detroit is much safer, more prosperous and all around more aesthetically pleasing. LOL!!!

The only reason they're talking about a Canadian IC is because Trump wants to charge 100k for new H1b applications to make sure we're only getting the best and brightest who are actually worth that.

GM and other companies don't want stars. They want barely qualified people who work cheap, and who aren't worth the 100k.

Canada has a much easier immigration system to bring those people in.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they open an IC in Vancouver with the other 2 new ones and then close Austin.

It sounds REALLY stupid…but…if you think about it, that’s how GM’s SLT think and decide.

Once they figure out how to divide the it management and operations based there among current/new innovation centers, Austin will probably get flushed like Georgia. PLUS, they can sell the Austin Office at a Profit with current real estate prices being nuts. GM’s accounting and finance departments will just be drooling at that $$$$$ profit figure.

Probably won’t happen now…but..knowing GM…they’ll probably wait until the slated new innovation centers open up and get filled, then do it say like 4 months after.

Ha….

GM will continue to waste money on them.

First, they will be open for a few years, then close them, write off a substantial loss, then the Execs will get a BIG Bonus and pay raise…..lol

Afterwards, they will open another 2: a new one in Antarctica, and another new one in Ethiopia…..😂

Wash…rinse…repeat…lol

I’ll never forget what someone asked in APM in the beginning of 2023:

Someone asked MTB if GM was going to cut/reduce headcount in 2023/2024.

MTB response: “Our current models do not predict or show a current need for a headcount reduction, now or in the near future.”

Shortly afterwards, the VSP happened; the Arizona Innovation Center got axed; then, in 2024, people were just going to the guillotine……

I’m guessing in 2023, GM’s current models were based on mice floating po-p, while being flushed down the toilet. Any mice that happened to survive and not get flushed was a positive sign that GM would not have to make headcount reductions.

I’m guessing someone decided to hold the toilet handle down to appease the GM SLT on some new voodoo predictions…..
