Thread regarding HCL Technologies layoffs

Verizon / HCL Severance Calculation

Hi folks - this is to those who have already gone. Was the severance purely based on your time at Verizon or was it Verizon plus the time at HCL? If I had to guess they would only include the time at Verizon.

@128p Hi - Would rather not get involved at that level. Just know that folks that were let go were never even given an opportunity to be "known" by HCL leadership. Everyone was just a line on a spreadsheet with an expiration date. They let some amazing people go without even realizing the experience they were losing and the benefits of keeping people before the customers got upset. However, it was so toxic there that most people wanted to leave anyway with their major concern being let go in a timely fashion as to not interfere with any and of the time sensitive benefits. On another note, Verizon leadership should have done better. Their lack of knowledge of the people that they sent to HCL was clearly exhibited by making sure people they knew had better retention "opportunities" at HCL and in many cases not necessarily the best / most critical resources.
